More than 70 children aged under 5, have been referred to the NHS transgender service

[More than 70 children aged three and four
were sent to the controversial Tavistock transgender clinic,
statistics have shown.




In total, 382 children aged six and under were
referred to the Gender Identity
Development Service (GIDS) run by
the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation
Trust in North London.]

[It comes ahead of a long-awaited final report
by consultant paediatrician Dr Hilary Cass,
which is expected to make further far-reaching
recommendations about transgender services
for young people after her interim study led to
GIDS being ordered to shut down.

The Government is also trying to stop the spread
of contentious gender identity ideology in schools,
with equalities minister Kemi Badenoch declaring
that teaching children they can be born
in the wrong body is harmful.

The GIDS clinic, run by the Tavistock and Portman
NHS Foundation Trust in north London since 1989,
had no lower age limit on referrals – but not all were accepted
or led to treatment being provided.
Statistics produced by the trust show the
astonishing growth in numbers of young people
seen there over the past decade,
from 136 in 2010-11 to 3,585 in 2021-22.

Further details show that 12 three-year-olds
were referred to the clinic over that period,
along with 61 four-year-olds, 140 five-year-olds
and 169 six-year-olds.

The NHS trust that runs GIDS stressed no
three-year-olds would have received 'treatment',
with staff normally holding a 'one-off discussion'
with parents or carers to provide support and advice.]

Realistically, under 18 is very dodgy territory morally and practically, but under 12 is just unthinkable. It's normal for kids entire personality to change drastically in the early teens, having them make permanent life decisions as pre-teens in ludicrous.

People try to conflate it with sexuality but it's quite obviously completely different... You can have a boyfriend at 13 and a girlfriend at 15, nothing about the person has to fundamentally change.

I think there is a case here where parents are 'disappointed' with the sex the child was born with and are using this to get what they want, its no different to aborting babies if they are not the right sex

They want to change their name ( well my son did) they want to dress up, wear make up, pretend to be princesses or any other fairytale character. Play with whatever toys they choose.

It's a deliberately pushed subculture that a small but influential group successfully nudged into the mainstream zeitgeist for a while. For as long as there's been civilization there's been a number of gender-subverting individuals... which is not the same thing at all as modern (the last 5 - 10 years or so) gender ideologues.

Children don't know really anything about themselves at 5 years old on a deep level.

And the Transgender topic is a very self-reflecting kind of situation for the individual in question, which normally comes above the ages 5-7, but maybe these people are knowing something that I don't tbf.
