Bar Stewards !!

I was thinking of getting the cheap version of Disney+ for £4.99 (including adverts )

Just wondering how intrusive the adverts will be though

If it’s at the start of a movie and maybe 30 seconds of ads every 45 minutes it may not be so bad ?!?

Anyone know ?

I don't bother with Amazon prime anyway lol, only streaming I watch is Netflix occasionally and YouTube. If there's anything I want to watch on Amazon or any other streaming platform, I'll just watch it online without ads lol .

The Streamers are essentially turning into TV Channels.

They'll suffer the same fate if they have 45 minute Adverts an episode like TV Channels started to do.

Of course they'll suffer, but they don't care... as they'll keep finding ways to persuade their customers to stay subscribed to them, by telling them how great these streaming services are, and treating ads like it's normal to have shoved in our faces 24/7  . So they know some people will just grin and bear the ads. Even on regular telly the ads get on my nerves.

They won't entice me though, even this Christmas I cheated and watched Candy Cane Lane & Genie through the internet completely ad free . I wasn't going to sign up to sky cinema & Amazon Prime just for 2 movies lol .

Amazon say they won't be as intrusive as others, we will see. I don't actually mind adverts if they are short

The cheek. They don’t need the money. The price per month and the fact that you still have to pay for stuff aside the monthly fee.. oh but aside all that we’re gonna make more money off ads and charge you to get rid of them… think 2024 is gonna see me dusting off the dvd player hahaaa

I always get ads at the start of the Amazon so I hope it’s just like that

As soon as a new business model starts up (which admittedly will be far away from now most likely) I could easily see the Streamers falling if they have 8 minute Adverts breaking up the episodes.

I actually have nothing personal against Adverts themselves, but how excessive they are, I think that I'm speaking for most viewers in saying that you want to watch your TV Show that you've picked to watch, not 5 different Adverts talking about having Erectile Dysfunction.

And Piracy is definitely a valid option for people these days if you want to avoid Corporate scummy behaviour.

amazon didn't bid for any football packages in the latest auction, so next year will be the last one they do i think

I would just watch less media to compensate if it's too bothersome. It works out in that way. Most of the stuff I watch wouldn't be on Prime proper anyway (their selection is not good...), it's on the networks that require ads in the US, which there are quite a few...

the people that do the supply of pirated media are a large criminal organisation that are into all sorts of crime, you surely knew that

Depends on the suppliers. Some drug dealers don't push it onto kids.

As for "my guy" ? He's a couple of degrees of separation to myself, and is a harmless sperg who's good at extracting media from the main streamers, and having it available to others.

I watched loads of the Amazon games .. in lovely HD. .. perfect picture no buffering

We have 500Mb broadband though so I don’t know if that has anything to do with things

Like any group, there will be some bad apples in the mix.
