am doing quite well so far, with Nottingham on FIFA 23
with my serbian coach Ivan Vukomanovic (and to pretend a assistent manager, being his loyal belgian assistent Frank Dauwen)
my squad is like
GK: Keylor Navas or Dean Henderson (switching it up tbh)
RB: Serge Aurier or (i have my own youth talent) Kevin Marchal
CB: Min-Jae Kim (captain)
CB: Felipe
LB: Ben Chilwell
CDM: Ibrahim Sangaré
CM: Orel Mangala
CM: Ruben Alcaraz
CAM: Jesse Lingard
ST: Edin Dzeko
ST: Andre Ayew
i also have on my bench/reserves
CB: Fabio Chiarodia (on loan from Werder Bremen)
CDM: Silvano Vos (on loan from Ajax)
CAM: Ismael Gharbi (on loan from Paris St Germain)
LB: Renan Lodi (on loan from Atletico Madrid)
CM: Jonjo Shelvey
ST: Sam Surridge
so far i'm 3rd place in the PL, i am group winner in the europa league (vs teams like Tromso, Young Boys, FC Twente)
board confidence of a whopping 96/100
although next season i am a ****load of trouble with all these loanees possibly returning to their clubs :skull: especially in my goalkeepers department LOL (Navas just on loan from PSG, Henderson just on loan from Man United)

am pleased with Alcaraz especially, he was in a trade deal transfer for me tbh, from Cadiz but he currently is in every starting 11 for me
Carlos Vela a disappointment so far, long term injury in his first season here, but when he returns i'll give him playing time again i guess, instead of Ayew maybe
Go on cloughie..you can do it.

The real team needs to bring you in as their Manager.

not me choking away the top position :omgno:
after a 2-3 home loss vs Leeds (fair enough i was 0-3 behind for a long while, but in last 5 minutes, Ayew manages to score two but we didn't have enough time left for the equalizer)
and a 2-2 away draw vs Brighton (with 10 man okay, Kim got red card)
Navas, Henderson being brought back to PSG, Man United respectively so i had to solve my goalkeeper crisis, bringing Hennessey back from his loan spell at Bremen and signing Bijlow from Feyenoord

i'm in 1st place :)
although some lucky wins now :joker:

Nicky91
22-03-2024, 01:52 PM
semi finals of the FA Cup now
we beat Newcastle with 3-1 in the quarters, with a b team too
quarter finals of europa league here we come, another spanish opponent either Villarreal
we beat Sevilla 4-3 aggregate (2-2 away, 2-1 home)
super save by Wayne Hennessey too, a good shot by Patrik Schick
:clap2:
match winner Carlitos Vela :cheer:

28-03-2024, 02:35 PM
matchday 32 now played
0-10 win away against Brentford
Dzeko also on its way for the golden shoe topscorers prize :D 29 goals, vs Salah 23 goals
i renewed contract of my defensive midfielder Cafú for one extra year
Colback, Kouyaté's futures are uncertain, Colback is leaving (possibly retiring) and Kouyaté might leave to another club if a good offer comes otherwise he might also possibly retire
i hope i convinced the likes of Wayne Hennessey, Edin Dzeko, Carlos Vela enough to postpone their retirement plans because i do need them next season in defending the title, playing in community shield, possibly european super cup too if we win europa league
my current squad kinda looks like this
GK: Wayne Hennessey
GK: Justin Bijlow
GK: Ethan Horvath
------------------
LB: Ben Chilwell
LB: Omar Richards
CB: Min-Jae Kim (captain)
CB: Felipe
CB: Fabio Chiarodia (on loan from werder bremen)
CB: Weston McKenna
CB: Guillermo Sosa (own youth product)
RB: Neco Williams
RB: Kevin Marchal (own youth product)
------------------------------------
CDM: Ibrahim Sangaré
CDM: Cheikhou Kouyaté
CDM: Jack Colback
CM: Ruben Alcaraz
CM: Cafú
CM: Orel Mangala
CM: Remo Freuler
CAM: Jesse Lingard (although he's long term injury absence now with broken toe)
CAM: Carlos Vela
CAM: Ismail Gharbi (on loan from PSG)
------------------
ST: Edin Dzeko
ST: Emmanuel Dennis
ST: Andre Ayew
ST: Sam Surridge
ST: Sergi Mora (own youth product)
my goalkeepers section kinda turned chaotic, when Henderson, Navas left back to their actual teams, so i had to solve this in a creative way, i brought Hennessey back from a loan spell at Werder, and i signed Bijlow for 30 million from Feyenoord

29-03-2024, 02:19 PM
i made the final of the FA Cup YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS :cheer2:
2-0 win over Swansea City
1-0 Dzeko
2-0 Freuler
goalscorers
FA Cup Final: Nottingham Forest - Manchester United (dream final there, the numbers 1 & 2 of the PL this season)
tomorrow got semi final first leg of europa league

woop woop
am in the final of the europa league
i lost away with 1-0 so, and i won at home with 4-1 :worship: 4-2 aggregate
and some news regarding one of my loan signings, i opted to try and permanently sign Ismail Gharbi from PSG, for a transfer sum of 3.8 million!!!!
Nicky91
05-04-2024, 04:26 PM
no title yet :(
Man United fail to give up, they win at home 4-0 vs Wolves
me: a narrow 1-0 home win, with Dzeko's record goal, equal to the premier league record of 32!
2 games left to play in the PL, 3pt lead :worry: so stressful
tomorrow the FA Cup final for me vs Man United
and the Return of Lingardinho a fact, recovered from his broken toe injury :D played one half vs Crystal Palace
Cassimero will noble Dzeko in the final to scupper the league.
Nicky91
06-04-2024, 12:42 PM
YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SSSSS
i won the FA Cup
4-3 after extra time, i mean United got a penalty in 90+4 to make it 3-3
but in 95th minute we make 4-3, Ruben Alcaraz long distance shot :worship: matchwinner
Dzeko also scored once, the 2-1 to be precise
i subbed Dzeko near the end of second half, for Emmanuel Dennis whom scored the 3-2 goal too btw
Nicky91
06-04-2024, 01:38 PM
my remaining two PL games
home vs Manchester City
away vs Everton
no biggie :skull:
but tbh even if i draw against City, i still have a one point lead over United, and then i can win the title as long as we take full 3 pts at goodison park, but tbh winning the title at home is always more fun
Nicky91
08-04-2024, 08:21 AM
yesterday
vs manchester city, a 2-2 draw, with United winning 5-1 over Leeds, just 1 point gap now
i need to win away vs Everton :worry:
what a choke that was vs City, a 2-0 lead at half time, but then yeah Haaland happened and KDB :idc:
now for next season already
we have couple players leaving
RB: Serge Aurier (signing with Real Betis for 6.4 million)
CM: Cheikhou Kouyate (possibly heading to Borussia Monchengladbach on a transfer sum of 3.4 million or somewhere else, or retire idk, he didn't want to extend his contract anyway)
Chiarodia heading back to Werder, i liked him but to permanently sign him, no (Gharbi however did impress me what an amazing talent he is)
i hope the likes of Hennessey, Dzeko, Vela postpone their retirements for one more year at the very least, to play champions league with us
sooooooo my own made up ''technical staff'' kinda for added fun for my career mode, fantasy vibes
Manager: Ivan Vukomanovic (SER)
Assistent Coach: Frank Dauwen (BEL)
First Team Coach: Hans Backe (SWE)
Goalkeeper Coach: Sergey Ovchinnikov (RUS)
Strikers Coach: Sylvain Wiltord (FRA)
Sports Director: Kevin Keegan (ENG)

i won the premier league!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:cheer2:
winning 0-2 over Everton, and United had drawn 1-1 away vs Arsenal
and i won the europa league, 2-1 over AC Milan
the triple in my first season
next season i have european super cup vs Real Madrid to look out for, community shield vs Man United
Nicky91
09-04-2024, 04:29 PM
In:
Anass Achahbar (CAM) (free agent)
James Tavernier (RB) (20 million from Girona)
Alessio Besio (ST) (free agent)
Out:
Cheikhou Kouyate (2.7 million to Borussia Monchengladbach)
Serge Aurier (6.7 million to Real Betis)
Emmanuel Dennis (15 million to AC Milan)
Jack Colback (contract expired, now a free agent)
Fabio Chiarodia (loan expired, back to Werder Bremen)
Alex Mighten (Middlesbrough opted the option to buy clause for 2.5 million)
sent out on loan
most of my youth products to gain experience, chances for them to make minutes
my first friendly game
vs Augsburg, 6-0 win
do think i'll need to buy something still though, not sure what though
the board has upped my transfer budget from 400 million to 600 million, with our new CL ambitions i guess
