[Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers has died at
the age of 66, less than two years
after revealing his cancer diagnosis.
Myers, who formed one half of the
motorcycle-riding cooking duo with
co-presenter Si King, made the announcement
on the Hairy Bikers - Agony Uncles podcast
in May 2022, but did not specify what type
of cancer he was suffering from.]

… very, very sad…there was a segment on the radio yesterday about cancer treatments in the UK…chemotherapy and radiotherapy facing longer waiting times than previously they have…cancer doesn’t ever lag behind so it’s something that the medical world need huge focus on always…

Very sad , he always seemed a nice guy . I kept hoping he would be ok . Cancer is just the worst .

You can tell he was trying to make the most of his life.

Not sure if it's backed up by statistics but certainly feels in the last couple of years like there's a lot of people dying younger which could have been avoided by earlier intervention

Wouldn't be surprising with covid and waiting lists etc but I fear this could get worse before it gets better

…we certainly seem to be now lagging behind in treatment and that earlier treatment could make differences to some, literally life saving differences….and sadly I agree, I think it’s on the decline rather than improving which is what it should be seeing…
