View Full Version : Louis nominating Bradley…

…because of his young age and an indication of him having less to offer …?…..I was surprised tbh because Louis working life has been with young people in managing young people and young guys in particular, actually…thoughts…?….

…Bradley doesn’t seem to have offended in any way, other than just be younger…

I think a few will nominate Bradley as he’s young / meek and mild - easy target

…I guess that Bradley could be seen as an easy option for some…but I was surprised that was the way with Louis because decades of his working life and career etc have been in mentoring and spending time with young people and promoting and nurturing young talent…

I was very surprised at that nomination.

From what I've seen I quite like Bradley actually.
Should age be a valid reason to nominate someone anyway.

…Olivia made that point also, didn’t she…she said that in the civilian version, that reason wouldn’t have been accepted …special nomination privileges for celebrities……

Not to offend or degrade his acting career, but I think Bradley would do better in civi BB. He doesn't seem to have a "huge tv personality", at least in comparison to the other housemates

Yes Oliver
that's how Louie thinks

I think Bradley is the one he has the least in common with. IF he was starting a band his choice would be different Bradley would be picked. The other housemates do have more stories and that keeps Louis interested especially once Sharon exits.

tbf what I took from what Louis said was that he just doesn't find him very interesting and he preferred talking to other people

the difference being he wasn't making money from Bradley

…I kind have wish though that BB had refused what he said as a valid reason …to see what else he would have said and what reason he would give…

Yeah, same. He seems genuinely interested in listening to people with stories to tell about their pasts. He's just so darn likeable. :hee:

I think Louis has lost touch with what makes young people tick. It's no coincidence he doesn't rate the youngest people in the house

Let's be real, he exploited young kids for money throughout his career. I don't think he will have been nice to any of the kids he represented through that entire time. Now he sees a couple of young people who have found success largely independently, without his or his buddies "help". That's what he doesn't like

…he is a bit of an interesting character, actually…he doesn’t seem very confident in his own perception or impression of people…he’s often asked Sharon or the person he’s talking with at that moment, almost for affirmation of a statement he’ll make…he’ll say, oh this and this about a person …and then follow it immediately with…’do you think’ or a similar uncertainty…and maybe needs that ‘verification of achievements’ to decide his opinion of someone…?…he’s very interesting, anyway …and I do find it interesting that his work has been in close mentoring to many younger talents and yet he’s quite dismissive of ‘youth’ in general, it’s appearing atm….

On YT there's a video called "Louis turns nasty" or something, that's a compilation of him saying not-nice things to auditionees, ending with Sharon berating him for making a sweet but crappie girl cry.

BUT! He had a variety of costumes, and it was clearly different locations. Which suggests he's like that more than they show(ed), and focused on Simon being the mean one.

Thanks!! I've just watched it. Is this the right video? Nasty Sharon throwing coke on him is another moment that we need on CBB :hehe:

Ooh thank you I just watched it before I saw that you posted the link. If they come to a disagreement like that over someone it might be over Zeze. It's already happening. Sharon "she's accomplished a lot" Louis "whatever that is" nasty. He hates young people but loves working with them somehow

I bet part of it is that online success doesn't depend on the same types of "gatekeepers" that the traditional media do, and Louis is(/was) definitely a gatekeeper in the music industry.

Whereas for online content creators, the only gatekeeper they need to win over is their audience. I wouldn't go so far as to say the likes of Louis would feel threatened, it's a different turf. But I can imagine they feel the success is less earned.

it's complicated, he had kids going through hoops to get a record deal, so from his perspective they had to work for it. He doesn't understand the concept of an independent achieving success without doing the same. What he doesn't understand is that they will have to have worked much harder to get what they achieved

Depends really. Some content creators earn big money for unedited and unscriped stream of consciousness videos, I wouldn't call that working harder than those in The Bizz(tm).

But for those who do it all - lighting, editing, writing, really putting in all the effort to make a decent product? They're the ones who do indeed work their proverbials off.

(I've not watched Zeze's stuff, so not sure where she lands in that gradient)

Tbf, getting noticed without any big brand behind you is always impressive imo, regardless of how much effort it takes to make the particular content in question.

Don't like Louis. He's self-serving, cold-blooded and belligerent. The clip someone posted he's doing the same to Bradley like he did to the 16 year old girl.

Louis doesn't really like typical though.

Don't forget this is the same guy that mentored Wagner on TXF.:joker:

….Im not sure that he’s that keen on young, either…so the combination of typical and young was a tricky start to the description, there……
