You'd have thought he'd have done one more to make it a round 40.

He wants to hand the Baton to another generation of celebrities, he'll still be involved I assume behind the scenes with Richard Curtis, Lenny Henry is Comic Relief . But he's just enjoying retirement I guess. It's his choice after all , producers have already been changing the presenters around for quite a few years .

Tonight had 10 of them on stage and that's including Lenny himself.

The charity was founded in 85 by Richard Curtis .

I know. But it wasn’t televised until 1988.
Apart from its intro on the Noel Edmonds show.

Yeah but it's not just celebrating the television side of it , it's about the whole thing from when it started ....hence 39 years of Lenny Henry & Richard Curtis working together.

Ah right.
I do think Lenny will be missed.
Hoping he still turns up a little at least on the next few shows.

Yeah deffo he is the face of Comic Relief, he did an amazing job :wavey: .

We'll probably see glimpses of him, but he just won't be presenting it anymore. He said he'll still be involved with Comic Relief ... but more behind the scenes.
