So I know Tesco have an offer of 5 for £2.50 but … our local shop sells them at 85p each or 2 for £1.20 ( 60p each)

I bought 5 and put down £3 but they charged me £3.25 because the deal is 2 for £1.20 … so the odd one was still 85p !!

I did question the price saying I figured they would be 60p each given the offer .. but paid without creating a fuss

Any thoughts !?

If it's two for £1.20 I have no idea why you thought the 5th one would be the discounted price... that has never in any situation been how a "Two for £____" offer works .

They're still only 45p each in my local cheapo shop. :D

And you can just still buy one and it's 45p. :D

I'm not a big fan of them. I prefer an Easter egg. But I always get a small one.

Just seems logical .. after we get to .. 2 for £1.20 .. 3 for £1.80 .. 4 for £2.40 ..

So why not 5 for £3 ??

The normal stores probably, not sure about the little ones.
They are available online if you are doing an internet shop.

I spent $25 in Cadbury to fuel your economy. I hope you all make a million dollars.

5 egg pack was $5.44/ea on my receipt at Walmart. Candy and snacks, etc, are very expensive atm with inflation, but Cadbury has always been an expensive treat.

I got a pack of minis and I intend to hide those in eggs for my daughter. She's not heavy into sweets anyway so expect it will mostly be consumed by hub & I, but this might interest her a bit more because of the shape.

From what I’ve heard on the grapevine.. Cadbury’s chocolate USA … doesn’t taste anywhere as nice as Cadbury’s UK ..

Crazy thing is Cadbury’s UK tasted far nicer about 10 years ago !!!

I picked up 25 for £7.50 on Saturday.. then gave away 3 to a lovely homeless guy sat outside Tesco .. I usually give him some food or a drink but I’d just nipped in before all the cream eggs had gone ..

The ten packs for £3 had all gone just a few of the 5 for £1.50 left

That's very possible. American candy is uniquely awful/low quality. So the bar is quite low

When I checked Amazon pricing for Cadbury I noticed they had the "Original" imported version, so I'm assuming that our version is different somehow.

I had a double quarter pounder from rubbish McDonalds the other day, for the protein, i promise. Anyway, got myself and my daughter a Creme Egg McFlurry for afters. It wasn't too bad tbh.

You were right by the way, Zizu. Terribly right. I tried one of my eggs and I'm like this chocolate tastes very familiar.

I checked the label. They're literally Hersheys! The most common chocolate ever.

If you'd like to compare the lack of nutrition to the UK variant...

I know. They're still a neat holiday treat. Maybe next time I'll pay the import fee so I can compare and get reviews from people we know

Hersheys use milk that has gone off and that is why they taste like vomit

(I'm not actually joking either)
