As some of you may remember we lost our beloved westie last year on 6th April, since then we have moved and renovated a house but since Christmas we have been pining to get a new doggie, so we have visited various rescues, and last Friday we brought home Tilly who is 4, a Collie, Corgie, Jack Russel and Staffie cross, she is the sweetest most gentle dog, she ended up in the RSPCA through no fault of her own and the guy who brought her is was very upset according to the staff, you can tell she was loved and she arrived with her own blanket and an array of toys, I dont know what the situation was, or why he had to leave her but I hope he knows she has landed on her paws and here she is making herself comfy on our bed  I think it was meant to be as she was not on our list of dogs to visit but came up on the website that morning and we got to meet all the doggies waiting for homes, narrowed it down to 3 and here she is

Tilly is a very quirky dog and will horde food in her mouth and take it into a quiet place to eat, she is always on high alert when out on the car and if we take her to the pub she literally stares at everyone and everything, and she loves to watch trains, she never really went into the garden in the first year only to do her business but now she is gradually starting to sit in the sun and she will follow a plane across the sky, anyhow we took her to the vet recently and he ran the scanner over her chip and Tilly is from Romania....which is ironic as we wanted to rescue from a Romanian Rescue Charity but it all went a bit haywire which is why we ended up at the RSPCA only to get a Romanian Princess there :smug:

Obviously she tried to scam us by calling herself Tilly and pretending to be younger than she is so she could gain asylum but it is what it is :oh:
…well all I can say is that there are times when it works out pretty wonderfully to be scammed……
…isn’t it strange how our paths weave to things that we feel are ‘perfectly meant and matched..’, you know…?….it sounds with her food that she might have had some taken by other dogs and had to scurry away and hide it to get meals at times…either that or Mr C is trying to eat it as well so she’s hiding it from him, keep an eye on him, Cherie…

Yeah I think it was a fight for survival in there, she can be reactive to other dogs out and about too so we have to be very firm with her.
Mr C does love a bit of kibble
oh how lovely..it was meant to be

Cherie I’m so glad that you have taken on this dog and gave her a second chance. I’m so happy that she has landed on her paws and she is with you and your partner in such a warming and happy home. Honestly this has brought a tear to my eye I just wish that all these dogs have such a magical ending like this . What a lovely person you are, please keep us updated
