Jihad? Seriously?
Someone has certain expectations for their child. Where's Baby Adolf?
Calling that out in a scottish playground would have zero impact .... Yeah, whatever

Whats the typical choice of name for a muslim son? There are probably a maximum of 2 or 3 choices. Compare that to other races where they have a choice of thousands of names and its not difficult to see how Mohammad tops the charts

Isn't Jihad kind of an unfortunate name? Given the Jihadists aren't exactly great role models.
It'd like naming a child Hitler.

You could say that but I believe it’s because the Muslim race are having more children than most other races put together.
I’m not being racist but you only have to drive past a school and see the kids come out to realise that the classrooms are no longer made up of the vast majority being white kids.

that very much depends on your location

You say that but as the video shows areas you would not expect that name to top the list has .
Anyways it’s no skin off my nose the world those kids are being born into is getting worse instead of better.
…Jihad is being listed as one of the ‘unique names’…?…along with other unique names…and it may have been a record year for unique names as a whole, but it’s not stating that it is for Jihad…there may have only been one child named Jihad in all of Scotland but that’s what the media are putting as a headline…?…anyway, as a name it’s apparently down at six thousand and something on the ‘chosen name lists’…in 2023, The Italian Luca leading as choice for boys and only one Muslim name of Muhammad appearing at 11th in the top 20…for the girl choice in 2023, no Muslim names in the top 20 so far as I can see…and Isla being the top chosen name…
I'm shocked..
I'm away to the chemist to buy a packet of rubber jihadis

It's weird though, I work in a (smallish) primary school, and among the children there's only each of Jack and Oliver. They're both basically permanent fixtures in the top 5 boys' names, often in the top two. It's in a bit of a "posh" area, so they're not drowned out by Tylers and Braedens
There are plenty of Islas and Olivias.

…it’s interesting to watch yearly name trends in schools because that’s when you really notice them for your region so it’s fun also to see if they or how they match in with national trends…with Oliver for instance…I recall having around six or seven Oliver’s on roll one time and had to use the first letter of their surname also to identify who was being referred to at times…in then after those Oliver’s had all gone through that school life and onto their next school…?…Oliver’s all disappeared for a few years and then there were no Oliver’s sitting on the wall……Noah was a more rare name in our school but that suddenly started to rise and we had three Noah’s all come at once…popular book/tv characters are always a thing of the popular at the time but old style Hollywood movie star names are very much in vogue as well and have been for quite a few years …Ava, Marilyn, Grace, Mae etc…in this area anyway….

You're 100% correct on that this is constantly being debunked: the reason Mohammad tops the list is because Muslims (SMALL percentage of total births) have a HIGH likelihood of calling their first son Mohammad... whereas miscellaneous white people (the VAST majority of births) have an increasingly varied list of names. Far more variety of traditional names to begin with, and also far more likely to try to go for something new/unique.
That's literally the only reason Mohammad tops the list but it's constantly used as rage bait because, when people don't stop for a moment to think about the other variables, they quickly assume it's because most of the babies are Muslim.

I guess that is why not one person reacted with outrage or anger....
