Just days out/overnight stays.

Hopefully Vanessa and I are recreating our Blackpool visit, in August rather than November this time. The Tower Ballroom will be open, and we've got tentative plans finances allowing.

I’m going to Lapland this December with my little niece on a Christmas themed trip. Only three days but I can’t wait. 250km north of the Arctic Circle. Hopefully I get to see the elusive Northern Lights with my own eyes. :fc:

1. St. Andrews (Birmingham City FC, not the Golf course lol.)

2. Drayton Manor

3. Less of a Holiday plan, but I plan to at some point this year go to the Cinemas again, as I haven't been in one for years now.

I think the word "haters" refers to people who prefer not to be royally ripped off for utter tat

I am sure there is a better word

No one on here is judging anyone's holiday....not sure why Zizu had to add the comment in the first place tbh.

i visited disney land in Hong Kong, and my lad was at exactly the right age to enjoy it the most. For me, it's like saying bah humbug at Christmas, when an adult has forgotten how to view it all through a child's eyes

I haven't.
Not yet anyhow.

Will be heading over to Republic of Ireland in the Summer.

I may go to a couple of European Countries too but made no decision as yet.
Actually fancy heading to Austria as it's a while since I was there.
Depends on workload as well however.

I've never been to a Disney Resort.

In what way do they rip the customer off? I'm genuinely curious because I wouldn't actually put it past Disney to do that.

I don't understand why companies increase prices when most people are struggling to even keep a roof over their head.

Company's charge what people are prepared to pay, it's simple economics and it's how it has always been

well many do until they go bust as what they provide does not meet expectations..

I've been very fortunate this year I've been to Portugal, Colorado, and I've just got back from a few days golfing in Cornwall. I think that's it for me for the rest of the year though but I might sneak in a random solo trip somewhere. I'd really like to do a road trip through the French countryside so I might do that in either spring or autumn

But if people are struggling to even keep a roof over their head, they're going to find it hard to pay for increased prices of a product, thus losing potential customers.

That's not just about Disney either, as a lot of Video Game companies think it's great to charge nearly £70 for one Video Game, and then act shocked when said Video Game doesn't sell enough to make them money back.

i've done that and it's magical. There are so many french villages that are basically still medieval. I'm sure that graveyards depicted in video games are straight from france

…the only thing that I have firmly booked atm is a visit to the Peak District in early summer with my brother…we kind of started a childhood nostalgia road trip last year in Northumberland, which we’re going to continue in stages of re-visiting all of our old childhood family holiday places/memories of our partners as well…we do have other thoughts but nothing else fixed and booked as yet…it’s a fairly open year, as they say…

not just Disney parks whose price got up though, also other theme parks, such as my nation's biggest park Efteling, whom also raised the prices (for either at the camping/bungalow park as well as theme park entry)

was bound to happen anyway as a aftereffect of the covid pandemic's lockdowns which have had a negative effect on all theme parks, shops, whom had to be closed etc

------------------
Disney+ cost cutting, well that mainly was removing certain things no one really watched in order to make room to keep providing quality (quality over quantity on there is their policy) and in order to save up money for their deal with Hulu, 20th Century Fox/Searchlight for full ownership

back on topic
