Jonathan Ross: I shower less than once a week... it’s a waste of time

Jonathan Ross has revealed he sometimes showers less than once a week, saying he has no reason to “bother” when he doesn’t do any exercise.

The chat show host claimed his wife, Jane Goldman, the scriptwriter, also often goes for days without showering.

Ross made the admission when asked if he dyed his hair because he was not grey at 63.

He said: “Do you think I give enough of a s--- about anything to bother spending any extra time on grooming whatsoever he lied – I resent the fact that I have to shower.

“I sometimes go at least a week without showering – at least. So does Jane sometimes. We’re like a couple of hamsters in their own straw in that bed.”

He only showers once a week because if he washes his hair too much it'll strip out the brown dye faster. Anyone who says they naturally have no no greys at 40 is telling porky pies, let alone 63 :laugh:.

He probably has what is sometimes known as a "Glasgow Shower" - strip naked, spray your whole body liberally with deodorant, spray your clothes with aftershave, put the clothes back on.

Personally I shower every day although, it's not because I smell after one day, it's because my hair is a work of art and it needs to be washed, dried and resculpted daily for my vanity.

…I don’t want to be THAT person who posts link after link after link but that’s honestly not truth of it that they wouldn’t be showing honesty…there are people even in their 80s who don’t have grey hair of any significance….maybe they’ve had a few in their lives …?…but, still I think it would be truthful to say ‘no grey hair, as such’….its obviously in the genes, as is often the way in how we age…obviously we can impact that with environmental factors as well, but I would say that many people at 40yrs haven’t experienced grey hair…(…of any significance…)…maybe less so at 63yrs old but I still personally know many people who haven’t….(…and also many people who have…)….and st the other ‘age’ end, there are teenagers who have significant greying of hair…which genes will also factor in, in the main….
