Question about YouTube head massage videos

Hi, I wonder if anyone can answer my question.

I've been watching those Indian head massage videos on YouTube for many years. I really enjoy them and even people in America and the UK make those videos.

The thing is I've noticed quite recently most people who do the massages wear these - what look like - massive black digital watches on both arms.:shrug:

They never used to wear them but it seems they all do, even the poor people doing massages in the poverty stricken Indian villages.

I find these things very distracting as some flash with a big blue light.

WTF is it all about?? :shrug::shrug:
