[A damaging 7.7-magnitude earthquake has hit Taiwan,
causing tsunami panic across the region,
triggering landslides and downing buildings.

At least four people were confirmed dead and
dozens hurt as emergency services and the
army battled to assess the scale of the disaster.

The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) issued
a tsunami alert for the southern islands of the
Far East country following the tremor,
which happened shortly before 9am local time
on Wednesday morning
(8pm New York, 1am UK, 11am Sydney).]

…strongest/most forceful earthquake in 25 years and 4 reported dead so far is pretty incredible but very, very sad for those lives lost…lots of pics online of different buildings completely angled/slanting but seeming totally in tact and not shattered and I guess that’s why the life loss is thankfully low…

Scary scenario for the Taiwanese.

Hopefully the death toll doesn't go out of control.
