Because of Covid-19
they brought that in.

They used to have an online audience

But that costs money

A Slick Audio Mixer
ads clapping from clapps
they have previously recorded

Paul Merton will look left and right to
a place where the audience used to be.

Many are doing this now
the horrible effects after Covid-19.

Why not just let the audience back in?

The Bio Labs deadliest creation hasn't come out yet after all.

saving more money

I mean I do get that the BBC execs have got to save some money for their trip to Thailand.

So it makes sense.:hehe:

But seriously, I do get what you're saying, Arista.

According to Wikipedia, 1.6 million viewers watched Doctors talking about people having "Fursonas," so I can't say that I'm too shocked at HIGNFY pulling in viewers.

But they have 2 New Guests
each week

Last night it was Comedy fella Jon Richardson

And a Young BBC reporter lady
who specialises in Fake News/Posts
Marianna Spring

Presumably to cover up the fact that nobody actually laughs at it anymore? :hehe:

It was better with Angus Deayton anyways, so...

So when Ian Hislop starts ranting about the government and everyone claps that's added in?

I think a Real Live Audience would Laugh

They used at the Final seconds
pull the camera back to see the audience

Now it stops at them

There is 5 Editors
one or two of helping to mix in the clapping

Yes near current news
makes it good.

If only they would
let real humans in on a Thursday afternoon.
Bloody Covid-19
has changed so many things.

Go to a bigger Studio size

So Real Clapps to all the Jokes
would improve the whole show.

I feel shows like this had their place when the news and politics was quite serious business and could be broken down in a fun/funny way for people who wanted that.

But these days the actual news is a joke already...

Tbf I can't see a reason for there not to be at this point, has someone maybe picked up an old story from covid-times? There's been no issue with live audiences for years now.

Yes watch Paul Merton looking in different Directions

But the Clapping is all mixed in.
From when they had an Audience at home
they have loads of digital recordings.

This way saves the BBC big money
all done by sound editors.

Before Covid-19
at the end of the show, the camera showed the audience

Only these people are irony impaired, so it ends up not being that funny.
