I'm gathering that it must be a slow news day today for The Times.

The majority of paper publications that used to be once more like real news---- papers.
Are gearing up to look for every tiny negative and now panicking at the prospect of a strong Labour victory in the election to come.

As the months, go on it is possibly likely to get more intensified.

Thankfully the actual circulation of papers is diminishing bigtime from previous years.

He's been dead for decades. Not so much news as history.

Where's John Major's portrait there.
Didn't he play away too.

there were rumours about Harold at the time.

Nothing happens at westminster without everyone knowing about it, it's just a question of whether the media take up the story

Wasn’t his pipe just a prop?
I think he actually smoked cigars.

it was a prop. A pipe made him look working class where a cigar certainly wouldn't

It was a good distraction on TV in interviews apparently.
Put to good use to gain time on answering questions.

Although on clips I've seen, all the leaders pre Blair answered questions and stuck to the content of questions much more than ANY of them do now.

In particular the sooner that The Sun dies off, will be a great thing for this country.

Scummy Newspaper.

Yes, The Sun is truly vile.

I'd add the Mail to it in equal measure.

In a guilty pleasure way, The Daily Mail makes me laugh.

But I do understand where you're coming from on them.

But The Sun for me is basically a crime syndicate at this point, it's a joke how they've not been forcibly disbanded.
