Even though I liked the Film, it would probably be the first Ice Age.

Keith Lemon: The Film.
Me and a mate went on the first night it was out at my local cinema and the theatre was packed to begin with.
At the end there was us two and about six others. Everyone else had left in droves throughout. Truly terrible.

Ocean's 13. I can watch almost anything and this is the only time I've ever almost walked out of a cinema. Out of sheer, sheer boredom. But I was there with University flatmates and it would have been rude to walk out. So I sat there for the full run. It was physically painful.

The Blair Witch or Evita. The Blair Witch was just stupid, not scary but annoying with that wobbly cam corder look and I hadn't realised Evita was a musical, I hate musicals
…I’ve probably watched some fairly awful ‘worst’ movies on dvd/tv, but not at the cinema that I can recall…I e only been there to watch the bigger blockbuster type movies so not generally disappointed to the point of feeling it was a ‘worst’ movie…

Oh lord, I went to Evita with my parents when I was 11 years old... I had absolutely no idea what I was in for, I think I've blocked out most of the memory :joker:.

Yeah I remember having seen musicals before, but they were the ones with... other scenes... and songs spread thoughout. I was sat there absolutely baffled that every line was being sung :joker:.
That said I do enjoy Hamilton and it's all musical so it's clearly not the only issue with Evita.
i remember watching the original west side story and thinking wtf
However, i did go and see les miserables in the west end and burst out laughing during a particularly poignant moment :joker: so, i'm not the best person to talk on the subject

…that look on every husband’s face when he realises that you’ve brought him to the cinema to watch a musical…

I remember going to watch a Star Wars movie in like 2004 - 2006 cause I know my dad wanted to go and I wanted him to have company. But I remember that none of it made sense to me and I could keep up lol
Wasn’t a bad movie, I was just clueless

….awwwwww……that would have meant a lot to him…I’ve often been in it just for the popcorn and gone with one of the boys when they were younger…but then really enjoyed the movie/not one that I might have generally seen …
Not just the husbands :fist:
……sometimes I love a musical…other times, not so much…it really does depend on the movie and how it’s done, I would say…it took me ages to watch The Greatest Showman, then I loved it……

To be fair I don't mind musicals, love actual stage musicals and have been to several (I'm cultured dontyouknow) ... but Evita was ... not one of those I enjoyed.
I even quite enjoyed the Mean Girls musical remake recently :joker:. It will never rival the original classic obviously but it was a fun enough day at the cinema.
Really you can only get away with going to see Mean Girls when you have daughters "dragging" you along though, if you try to go on your own I think you end up on some sort of watch list.

The only musical I'd go see at the theatre is the Father Ted Musical if it ever gets to be staged :'(

the snoring? :hehe:
…Blood Brothers is a pretty emotional stage watch…it’s more of a story with music than a musical…if that makes sense…it’s such an incredibly emotional watch at the theatre…

I do love Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory which is considered a musical but it's just got a few songs sprinkled through and they fit fine

i hate star wars films with a passion
If kids are fidgeting and not glued to the screen, then it didn't grab them. I know the signs
The very first Harry Potter movie as they all seemed to be walking through fields for the first hour or so !

The wolf of wall street. I walked out in utter disgust. Leo Dicaprio is the most overrated Hollywood actor. Titanic was the only movie he was good in.

Epic Movie (2007)
I can hardly even remember anything about it. I think I must have just wanted to see a lighthearted, 'turn off your brain and enjoy the ride' kinda movie.
The worst experience I had in the cinema was Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. It was the first time for me that the spell was broken and I recognised that the prequels were maybe not the greatest movies lol. I've since come back around to them and enjoy them still, warts and all.
But ROTS soured me on them for a time and caused me to jump on the 'hate the prequels' bandwagon. Even aside from the disappointment at the quality of the film, I just remember desperately needing to go to the toilet during the climactic duel and not being able to, such was my even more fervent desperation to get some sense of enjoyment out of the experience lol.
In the end I didn't even enjoy that final duel. Immensely enjoyed my trip to the bathroom afterwards though.
I once watched the movie "Problem Child" at the pictures. It was a film brought out just after "Home Alone" It was obviously trying to copy the theme of young lad gets up to chaos.
It just wasn't close to the same league as "Home Alone"
But yeah, that was pretty sh!te.
