That is a pretty shocking panel for diversity of opinion

I know Rory Stewart and Campbell like to pretend that they're arch political rivals despite agreeing on the vast majority of core issues

Yes but it is nice to have
a better team, than the sad BBC

[Channel 4 has hired The News Agents’
Emily Maitlis to present its general election
results coverage alongside the
Rest Is Politics’ Alastair Campbell and Rory Stewart.

Maitlis, who was a regular face on
the BBC’s results coverage,
will co-host the programme with long-term
Channel 4 News presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy.

Channel 4’s early announcement of its
presenting lineup comes as broadcasters try
to second-guess when an election – which
must be before next January – will be held.

The broadcaster is also hoping to create
a buzz around its show by capitalising on the
increasingly influential reach of two
political podcasts which had not been
launched at the time of the last
general election.]

Just about all teams on any channels irritate me in general elections.
No matter their political positions.

They ask stupid and often irrelevant questions most of the time.
If there's debates they often fail to impress in any shape or form.

However, I do like and respect Rory.
I actually think there wouldn't have been the poll gap there is had the Cons took a chance on him as leader in 2019.
I'd have certainly listened to him more as PM.
So for me channel 4 has a strong member of their team in him.

The rest, well they are just really more of the usual that just don't make general elections interesting or inspiring.
