[Ireland has announced plans to
send migrants who are sneaking
into the country from
Northern Ireland back to the UK.

The Irish Taoiseach Simon Harris
has asked his Minister for Justice
to bring a change in the law that
would force asylum seekers coming
in to The Republic to return to Britain,
according to Irish news site RTÉ.ie.

The move reportedly came in response
to comments made by Rishi Sunak
earlier today insisted that migrants going
into Ireland proves that his
Flagship Rwanda plan is working as
a 'deterrent'.]

[Ireland has a rules-based system that
must always be applied firmly and fairly,
the spokesperson said.
'In that context, the Taoiseach has asked
the Minister for Justice to bring proposals
to Cabinet next week to amend existing
law regarding the designation of safe
'third countries' and allowing
the return of inadmissible
International Protection applicants
to the UK.]

Any beautiful Rwandan women wanna come and live with Daddy Mock?:hehe:

But being serious, it's just going to be musical chairs, because these migrants will try to sneak back into Ireland if determined enough.

So if Ireland can send them back to the UK, why cant the UK send them back to France?

It’s an agreement between the uk and France

It’s an agreement between the uk and France

Doesn't the UK pay France to stop them travelling?

so let me get this straight, UK pays France to stop the boats, but they cant be sent back so now UK pays Rwanda to take them....bonkers

I just looked this up, its not an agreement at all it is due to Brexit

Nov 25, 2021 · Under the current rules, the UK is not permitted to return migrants to France. Before Brexit, the UK was able to send back return failed asylum seekers to the European country where they first...

well done Brexit voters lol

Surely it would be cheaper and all round better to just return them to France and pay whatever fines are issued?

It’s gone back and forth on what happens to those trying to get across to the uk

They said that those coming in by boats are paying 10 thousand each for a place on a boat or dinghy

The system is being abused

Just send them to northern ireland, save the sea crossing fees.

Just send them to Northern Ireland, save the sea crossing fees.

No that would upset them
and then they can cross back faster to their safer Ireland.

As Northern Ireland has no proper border
going to Ireland.

Although Sinn Féin' leadership is pivoting on immigration & denying support for open
borders, MATT TREACY notes some senior figures, including an adviser to Pearse Doherty,
are still happy to describe people like those protesting in Newtown as ‘racists’.

weeelll France wont take them back even though they are paid to stop them so no idea why the UK would take them back from Ireland, I think Rishi with his Rwanda deal might have inadvertently made the EU restrict entry just a little, genuine refugees welcome

Irelands migrant crisis has bog all to do with Rwanda, the Irish government have been shipping in migrants and putting them up in hotels and flooding small communities to kow tow to the EU and keep the EU funds coming in....this has been a problem long before Rwanda was a thing, the Irish have been highlighting this for at least the last 3 years ...this is why dodgy Varadhka jumped ship before his party is wiped at the next election

Think Sinn Fein is a shoe in at this stageNo popularity for Sinn Fein has nose dived. That last referendum exposed them badly, they were all on board with the yes/yes and when the result came out they tried to back peddle and say they wanted changes to it, then it was exposed that they wanted the changes to be even worse than the planned changes

to Ireland are at risk of stowaway migrants paying

[Meanwhile, Cunard and Princess Cruises both offer
options at £1,415 and £881 respectively.

After often paying more than £1,000 for a spot on
a small boat across the Channel,
migrants may be forking out even more to
escape the UK - and the prospect of a
one-way flight to Rwanda.

Migrants could also take regular ferries
from either Fishguard in
southwest Wales to Rosslare in Co Wexford.

The alternative is a ferry from Holyhead
in north Wales to Dublin.]
