View Full Version : Seriously thinking of voting for the Reform party.

Kate!

As an alternative to Labour I'm coming round to the idea of voting for Reform.

I like what they have to say.

You must always vote where you believe some, most or all your own beliefs lie.
It's good anyone thinks seriously about their votes Kate

Me personally, I'd never trust Reform on the NHS, they are way too right wing for myself, hence why disaffected Cons are more likely switching to them.
Plus on immigration, Reform are further away from my own personal views than even the Cons are.
I hate any Pary having rhetoric of people as just numbers and not living beings

This is a hard election and choice for hoards of voters however.
A lot of voters feeling politically homeless in fact.

Even a few of my cousins who are more extreme right wing as to politics, are voting Reform this time over Conservative.

i think people should forget about political party's and vote for the local mp that you think is the most honest and has the most integrity.

This is the only way to remove slime balls from politics and it also means the party that wins is the party with the most integrity.

I have no idea why people don't vote this way by default rather than being tribal

And they want PR so ideal for Joey to vote for

That's the only policy I like about them.
I'd never ever vote Reform however.

However it will come from Labour, Labour MPs, members like myself, the Unions and Labour voters now mostly want PR.
I'm pretty convinced it will be in the manifesto in the election after this one.
The Lib Dems want PR too.
The Greens, SNP, Plaid Cymru and every Northern Irish Party want PR as well as Reform.

Reform can get 15% in elections yet not win seats other than perhaps one or 2.

PR can only ever come from when a main Party proposes it.
The Cons never ever will.

It's been overwhelmingly passed at 2 Labour conferences now.
Starmer says it's not a policy he's putting in the manifesto for THIS election but I'm pretty confident he'll have it in the next election's manifesto.

Yes though, I rigidly now support PR.

Have a look at the Social Democratic party if you want an alternative to Labour which isn't just full of wealthy people who want to shrink the state. They have a fair number of old Labour supporters in the party

Yes, I'm sure.

This is the same playbook they' try using against anyone in favour of justice for all. Every one is a terrorist or an anti Semite.

After they successfully did this to Corbyn, they think they can drag the same playbook out against anyone remotely progressive, but Gaza has opened a lot of eyes to the false smears, so it won't work as well this time.

Don't forget that some of the right do love to accuse the left of "grooming" kids, even if there's no evidence of any wrongdoing in that particular area.

Obviously Arista hasn't said that, but I have noticed that some of the right like to play the "think of the children" card.

UKIP, I quite liked some of their social policies.
However on Europe, the NHS and immigration.
I could never have looked at UKIP.

Reform however I think you describe them correctly.
An even more extreme version of UKIP.

It's not really that simple. There are cases where it's implicitly inevitable.

Here's something that happened in a school I was working at; I didn't directly work with either child, so it had nothing to do with me. So thankfully I didn't need to be involved too much.

But there were two lads who were ... not exactly "going out", but both liked each other. They were planning a sleepover, and in the circumstances it was a safeguarding issue, due to age of consent.

If they were a boy and a girl, the school would immediately tell both sets of parents, almost automatically. But of only one was out to his family, which murkied the waters a bit.

In 2010 the nett mmigration figures when Labour left power was 250,00 +

After 14 years of the Cons nett migration now is 680,000+

I can't see where Labour could make that worse.

However my view of immigration and although I do believe the boats need stopping..
However that's only around 25,000 coming in them.
An extremely tiny percentage as to the full nett immigration figures.

I however don't and never will see any people, immaterial of where they're from or even think of them as just numbers to be discarded.
They're Human beings with feelings, hopes and dreams like the rest of the human race.
I'd rather show some compassion than heartlessness or any measure of any likely prejudice.

The stupid **** mockingly called it a "teenage dads army" forgetting in the process he would be tarnishing the memories of all the fallen teenagers who helped keep out the nazis.

I don't think it's tarnishing the memory of the countless teenage boys killed in war, to point out that it's unfathomable that all throughout history, rich comfortable men have sent barely-trained children (not their own rich ones) into battle to die or come home maimed or traumatised.

As a society we are - or should be - past the point where our armies are stocked with anything but well-trained, paid, professional soldiers (and support) who have signed up of their own free will. Should we be very grateful to the people who had to go to war for us in the past? Absolutely we should, but it's NOT something to be celebrated, and not something we should ever be keen to repeat. Banal misty-eyed completely fake nostalgia for a time that never existed. It wasn't all stoicism and valiantly putting up a brave front, a lot of it was 18 year old kids, terrified out of their wits, desperate to just go home, and blown to pieces within a few days of putting their feet on the ground in Europe. Unimaginable horror. The idea is that those who came before us were somehow bigger, braver and better than the kids you see on the street today. The VERY SAD reality is that they were not. Kids have always just been kids.

Farage: We should declare national security emergency

Nigel Farage said of the illegal Channel crossings: “Frankly, I think this is very
dangerous.

“You only have to look at what’s happened in Sweden in cities like Malmo to
see that a large influx of young males coming from an entirely different
culture, and certainly coming from a culture in which women are not even
regarded as second-class citizens, has had frankly disastrous social effects.

“But since the events of Oct 7 and what has happened in Gaza, and increased
radicalisation in the Middle East, this is even more of a problem. You see,
these young men that come, and I’ve actually filmed this, people throwing
their iPhones into the sea, throwing their passports into the sea, doing
everything they can so we can’t track and identify them...

“I think this is a national security issue. Now if you think I’m being over the
top let’s think about our friend Donald Tusk... Very much an EU luvvie, now of
course the prime minister of Poland. He has talked about the wave of, and
I’m using his words not mine, aggressive young males that are coming into
Poland having crossed the Mediterranean and he has said that it’s a matter of
national security for Poland.

“What we ought to be doing here is declaring a national security emergency,
and this is an emergency.”

We are moving into age of sectarian politics that excludes women, says Farage

Nigel Farage said there is a “small but worryingly large growing number of
predominantly young men in this country, adopting radical views - views that are not
just un-British but views that are frankly increasingly anti-British”.

“You might have noticed that Angela Rayner yesterday was campaigning in her
constituency begging, begging a group of Muslim leaders to please vote Labour. You’ll
have noticed not a single woman in the room.

“So we’re moving into an age in our inner cities and towns I’m worried to say of
sectarian politics, with women completely excluded.”

Crimson Dynamo
28-05-2024, 09:37 AM
Farage warns about risk of sectarian politics

Asked what he meant by British values, Mr Farage replied: “If you see the
victory celebrations for the local councillors from Burnley to Bradford to
elsewhere, no women. This is a new form... The idea that I’m saying this is
all British Muslims is absolute nonsense.

“I think the most concerned group, the most worried group, about what’s
going on with this new form of sectarianism is British Muslims who are
working, paying their taxes, wanting their kids to do well. It’s them that are
perhaps going to be the worst affected by this if this current unpleasant trend
continues.

“Of course there are social conservatives, but perhaps not quite to the same
degree... When 23 per cent of 18-to-24-year-olds say they support the
concept of jihad, I put it to you that that’s not exactly a British value. It’s
obvious to everyone that since Oct 7 there has been increased radicalisation
in this country. I never thought I’d speak to some friends who’ve got a Jewish
girl at a British university...

“She’s getting real abuse to the point of ‘do I really want to be part of this?’
So I think there are some pretty disturbing trends. I’m very concerned about
sectarian politics. We saw it in Northern Ireland, we’re starting to see it here.”

By any other name it absolutely is in line with (Farage-style) British values. I think perhaps here the problem is that Farage doesn't actually know what "Jihad" means and thinks it's necessarily synonymous with religious war or terrorism. Or at least, he pretends such.

The real irony is that if there was a good translation to secular struggle, Farage's own political activity is nothing sort of Jihad. Scottish Nationalists, Corbynites, Tommy Robinson, Jordan Petersson... all conceptually engaging in secular "Jihad".

‘A slow motion D-Day in reverse’

“If 3,800 boats and 125,000 boats isn’t a sort of slow motion D-Day in reverse, I don’t
know what is,” Nigel Farage said.

“But if you don’t like the term, fine, but I predicted an invasion and I think we’ve seen
one.

“Sometimes in politics and national debate you’ve got to use words that make people
stop and think. All that I’ve ever tried to do is on Europe or this subject or debanking or
whatever it is, the thing I’ve been good at is to get people to debate things and to make
their own minds up.”

****ing hell it's borderline painful to imagine the sort of morons who fall for such blatant rhetoric. If you want to talk about disrespecting the young men who fought in WW2 look no further than this dumpster fire of a statement. Truly, truly offensive. People who SUPPOSEDLY "love Britain" will be slobbering all over it though. Slack-jawed yokels.

What happened to impartiality
@Geetagurumurthy
and
@bbcpress
?

BBC News presenter, Geeta, just accused me (Nigel Farage) of ‘customary inflammatory language’
when I was quoting Polish PM Donald Tusk at a press conference.

BBC not even listening to what was being said - the left-wing bias is astonishing

Now the BBC's Geeta Guru-Murthy apologises:

"When we came away from his live speech, I used language to describe it which didn't
meet the BBC's editorial standards on impartiality. I'd like to apologise to Mr Farage and
viewers for this."

-------------------

However, the original lie speaks volumes about where the BBC is really coming from....

we all know that people like Farage quote extremists to make a point. They think this gives them a free pass to say things, but it doesn't, because it is still them that are saying it

Farage actually has a point here, but I think that there's two groups causing the issue with anti-women rhetoric.

1. Radical Religious sub-groups (primarily from Muslim backgrounds, but also some from other Religious backgrounds too.)

And 2. The Incel ideology growing over the last few years due to Andrew Tate and the like, encouraging young men to hate all women.

That's because the BBC loves to control people, and there's nobody easier to control from an adult perspective than kids.
