He said today
talking to a reporter
a 7-year-old girl was watching him film.

After all the press left
Keir asked the young girl
to have a go at
moving the camera.

She said to Keir "Me, I can not read"

He was shocked
but then stated the state the SNP education is in.

Clip was played on Times Radio DAB

To suggest that most 7 year olds in Scotland can't read is ridiculous though :joker:. There were one or two kids in my daughter's class who took a bit longer to get there, but that's always been the case, some kids have educational difficulties.

Not that I'm saying education is in a good place - it obviously isn't, and especially primary schools. Terrible under-funding. It's not just the SNP's fault though, ultimately the lack of public funds is down to Tory underfunding as we all know.

i've said this before. Labour won't get the walk over that they expect in Scotland. It's just not the way scots roll. If england goes in the majority for labour, scotland will go for snp and tories

That's not really true though is it, in pre-SNP days Scotland was heavily Labour whether England was Tories or Labour. Literally never in history has Scotland flipped to Tory just because England was polling for Labour.

The Scottish Conservatives have had a pretty solid year so far up here and will do well I think in the election but Labour will gain tons - expecting a very large SNP wipeout

Scottish labour was never the same as english labour

True - but I think the point more or less stands. Tories have a very specific presence in Scotland ... realistically, you're not going to see large numbers flipping from SNP to Tory. They'll slip literally anywhere else - Labour, Lib Dem, Green... but the Tory areas are Tory areas, and already voting Tory.

The tories will do well in rural areas in southern scotland. That's about it.

And Aberdeen. Oil industry loves a Tory.

Yes indeed.
Aberdeenshire West and Kincardine have that really irritating Andrew Bowie as their Con MP.
How I'd love to see the SNP take his seat.
He's one that just really annoys me for some reason.

I don't really see the Tories being competitive in Scotland.
