Is it Pointless…?….

…I’m thinking that I might try to put together a little one off mixture of utterly Pointless type questions to see if we can get some zero scores happening…if anyone is up for that…?…I’m just trying to put together questions now as I have around 18 atm but I think it needs more to make it last more than 5 minutes to complete…

…I should say also that the reason why it’s best to do Pointless as a stand alone quiz game as opposed to using the Top Answer questions as we’ve done previously…is that those questions aren’t always compatible in that they can lead to so many possible correct answers which is very difficult to research the sometimes obscure when scoring etc…so keeping the questions to more limited answers being correct is a good plan…I think we commented on that after the last one…anyway, if there is enough interest to become Pointless then I’ll see how many I can come up with in just one multiple themed round…

Yeah I'd definitely be up for that and you're right Pointless doesn't go so well with Top Answers because the questions a lot of times can have pretty infinite Pointless answers

…yeah, that’s what we said a few times…I guess that it’s a good option for a lazy way of doing it and letting the Top Answer host think up the questions …but they’re not hugely compatible always…and that can also lead to answers being queried as to whether they’re exactly correct, you know…it’s good to have them where there’s a good possibility of duplicates but just trying to avoid those as much as possible for the lowest score…

…I don’t really know what to say other than I’m (…hopefully/it’s what I’m aiming for…)…putting together questions that won’t be leaning toward any ‘top answer’ like they always have been before because Pointless has been a sister to Top Answers…and as explained earlier in the thread, that’s why I’m going to try a stand alone game/quiz with more appropriate questions for this game…how people play the game and within the rules, is really their call ….

You may believe I'm being negative, but I'm just being a realist of how I think the game will go. And I'm also helping you out with question ideas at the same time.

…the quiz questions will be very simple and varied but unlike Top Answers, which don’t have to be correct answers/they’re just aiming to be forum popular answers…?…Pointless quiz answers do have to be correct …but there will be helpful links given as well and they’re very simple questions…the aim is the opposite of Top Answers as in that you’re looking to be the lowest score …the lowest scoring member wins…so if you gave a correct answer to a question that no one else gave, for instance…?..you would get a 0 score for that answer and that would be perfect…you’re looking to get those low scores…I’ll post more explanation when I start the quiz because I still have to tweak my OP instructions to adapt for this stand alone version…

No better woman, looking forward to playing. I think Swan has given us the bug again. I might run a Top Answers after we're finished with Pointless (not straight after though) The problem I was having with that was trying to think of questions I hadn't used already :laugh:
