have you heard of Kiefer Sutherland ?

The name sounds familiar. Was he in Star Trek or something I feel like this is something in the very back of my head.

Who’s this guy then? His brother?

A great actor and an even greater shame to hear of his passing. Don't Look Now and JFK are two of my favourite movies of all time, and he's an integral part of both, despite the brevity of his screentime in the latter.

…really one of the true iconics in the world of acting……and 88yrs, a great age to celebrate…Donald Sutherland…..

…one of his life quotes…

‘You have a little bit of talent, a certain amount of good fortune and a lot of hard work in pursuit of whatever truth you can find in it, and if you are really lucky, a terrific partner and I have that and those four things worked out for me.’

…it wasn’t that long ago actually that I watched the movie/Mr Harriman’s Phone and Donald Sutherland played the title lead of Mr Harrigan…he just always filled the screen and commanded it when he was on it…

he was before my time, and i have heard of him

Liam Devlin in The Eagle Has Landed (top war film tbh)

and UserSince2005

surely you know the hunger games films? he was president snow

Yes Ammi, one of his last films, was a superb actor, will definitely be missed :(

my condolences as well to Kiefer (whom himself also went through a hard time some years back, his own health problems with his kidney, one of the reasons why he had to quit 24, and focus on more short term films, rather than series which take up more time to create)

also have to say

he looked stunning, both in his young years as well as more recently

88 is a nice age as well, although some big stars tend to become older

RIP Donald, you absolute legend

Very sad. He was a very good actor and in so many excellent and popular movies.

He was in Dr Terror's House of Horrors. One of my fav horror films. He's in my fav segment too, the vampire story. Indeed he is now the last member of the main cast to die, with Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Alan Freeman, Roy Castle all now long gone. :(

One of the greats. RIP.

"Don't Look Now" is one of my favourites of his, for anyone who hasn't seen it I recommend. It's terrifying.
