Using wallpaper and then as you got older you used Smash Hits or other music magazines :joker:
I doodled all over mine. I was obsessed with wrestling in the late 90's so it was always WWF, and CFC related stuff all over my books.
we had brown paper covers. All the fancy coverings weren't available in my day

We used wallpaper, wrapping paper, anything that worked. One girl at my school wrapped all her books in wood chip wallpaper
Yeah !!
What was that all about ??
Anyone remember why we used to have to ‘back’ all our books ??

Yeah i do actually, what was the reason? I feel like we were told by the teachers that we had to cover them?

Yes
No choice in the matter
Typical that nobody ever questions it back in the day .

I got very lazy and used the plastic sleeve type ones for copies but tbh by the time Luke was in his last couple of years I didn't bother covering any books/copies at all. No idea why copy books ever needed covering in the first place
