TeamGB qualified in both 4x100 freestyle relay of men's and women's
Australia in 1st place at the women's, as expected with firecrackers like Bronte Campbell, Emma McKeon, and in 2nd place with the men's
--------
400m freestyle women
Katie Ledecky qualified in 1st, ahead of her rival Ariarne Titmus and surprisingly not McIntosh but Fairweather who managed to outqualify the former for 3rd fastest
no chinese medals there though, both chinese women are eliminated
with the 400m freestyle men
Lukas Martens qualified in 1st, followed by Guillherme Costa and Fei Liwei and closely behind the two aussies Winnington and Short,

5 finals tonight
:dance2:
btw fun fact Tatjana Smith is Tatjana Schoenmaker, but she is married to a guy with surname smith
for those wondering if she is someone new, the answer is no, always has been a pretty solid competitor tbh, same as her fellow south african Lara van Niekerk
-----------
idk about Duncan Scott, i think Popovici might have good chances to deliver first gold for Romania, but these are the olympics and surprises can happen here

Tatjana Smith retiring, good on her  i deffo agree its best to retire at your career highlight, than at a low
gold medal and a silver medal here in Paris :clap1:
Summer McIntosh also a huge talent, worth mentioning, who we will hear from more in years to come as well, 17 yrs old and already a olympic champion now, gold and silver medalist

two bronze medals for us is something nice i guess, but we were once better in the pool
i miss the times of Van den Hoogenband (he's our chef de mission btw) and Inge de Bruijn
but tbh good to see USA, Australia still going strong, and now also Canada on the rise upwards again
China are kinda good in the heats and semi's, but when it comes to finals so far they ultimately crumble which must be kinda disappointing for them
