Nothing against blind people.
But this Large fella, a good reporter
is not good at a Live Event of Trump being shot at.
Because he can not see anything
Other BBC staff have to go with him.
So on Costs Grounds
it is too expensive.
Put him safe in a studio
No good asking the BBC
as they will ignore this.
And are happy to pay 2 more staff
to help the Blind reporter on a Live Event.

So on one hand you agree he is a good reporter, but then he needs sacking because he is blind.
I would like to know just how many BBC reporters actually did see the shooting, or any other reporters for that matter.
They will all have been briefed and updated about it as the incident was ongoing.

The BBC
Look we are hiring people with disabilities coz we are caring (and charging you for it)
The BBC
DO everything in their power to hide Saville and Edwards (and charging you for it)

No
Not At All.
He has great knowledge
Ideal to be at the Washington DC
BBC studio desk
With fewer helpers nedeed
The BBC must Cut it's
massive Over Budget spending
About as much use as Chris Kamara being asked who got the red card

our commentators at the football aren't blind but one might think they are :fan:
the many mistakes they make in saying the wrong player name who has the ball

A controversial view. I sort of agree with you. That said he can do his job very well.
They need to abolish the license, not for this, good luck to the guy, but their draconian license needs to go. Will never pay it.

Yes The BBC
can ask him to report from the
Washington BBC Studio.
Leave Live events
to the Loads of other BBC reporters
That would save Loads of Wasted Cash

I know who you mean.
Did those two ladies have actual evidence against him in their defence?
the primary function of a bbc news reporter is to present the news. Call upon interested parties for input and facilitate discussion. It is not their primary function to be an eye witness

news presenters present the news yes
the reporters on location their job is to give live updates what is happening at the moment
and tbh a blind presenter as a reporter is not really at the right position, he should be better off in the studio, rather than also spending money on special aides for the blind next to him/her
do think BBC have plenty other people more qualified to report live from the US for example
I actually didn't realise he was blind which goes to show it has little bearing on his ability to do his job
