If it does then the children of tomorrow need to hope that they're not going to be a straight man.

It's honestly miserable being so jaded/cynical over a lot of things, and if me being a straight male has caused that, then we're ****ed as a species going forward.

My best friend and his husband are definitely right of centre. That said, gay people reflect society, don't they? I've said this before, but the gay people I know are multi -faceted humans. Being gay is just one facet of who they are, like being straight doesn't define me. I imagine there are gay people of all political persuasions.

Your sexuality should only mean who is your sexual bed partner, man or woman.

It really shouldn't mean anything else.

I know you're being hyperbolic, but I do know of some gays who latch onto every "left wing cause", and think that being in any way right wing goes against gay law.

Only in the sense that I would never vote for somebody or a party that wants to do away with my or my ‘communities’ rights

Isn't it wonderful that you can say that without being called names and I totally understand why you would say that

however now I insert this

Only in the sense that I would never vote for somebody or a party that wants to do away with my or fellow womens rights

I await the the calls of bigot, Terf etc....

Financial position usually seems to trump other considerations when it comes to voting to be honest. It may SEEM like sexuality plays a role when it comes to LGBTQ voting, because the loudest LGBTQ voices are the youngest LGBTQ voices.

Basically... I know more-than-one settled, nearing-middle-age, married gay couples who are 100% Tory through and through.

They have no children or dependents and most of them work in finance. Of course they're Tories :joker:.

…not define it, no…but it would quite possibly influence it…for me, the same way that every part of all of us individually has influence on our lives and our beliefs…Im the person I am partly because of inherent things but also partly because I’m a wife/a mother/because of a job etc…every aspect of us defines us but that’s only a part of the layered people we are…

Exactly.
Everybody has different views on all things in life. Regardless of their sexuality.
