[A humpback whale has capsized a
small fishing boat off the coast of
New Hampshire with
two frightened sailors on board.
The large mammal was caught on camera breaching
through the waters off the coast of
Portsmouth on Tuesday.
In the startling footage, the animal can be seen
bringing its snout down on the rear of the small
vessel sending the two people
onboard into the water.]

I generally dislike things that seem abnormally big, and also have a fear of very deep water (if you can't see the bottom, I generally do not like it) and really whales just combine those two things in perfect synergy. Bloody massive, AND you can't see it under the water :omgno:.
In theory I'd like to go on a cruise one day. In practice I'd be sat there staring at the water in existential dread. Especially at night :worry:

I think we have the same phobia. I've never been swimming in the sea. It frightens me to go more than a few yards out.

….Thalassophobi….?…I also recall Shaun (…TiBB member…)…feeling that as well and mentioning it a few times on the forum…
…when the boat was turned upside down, it looked like the whale…

I have a version of this, I'm not afraid of the sea as such but of huge metal things in the sea like Oil Rigs or massive ships, but looking at the outside of them rather than being on one
