….it wasn’t the story I thought it was going to be but yeah, I am familiar with this…although lots of details I couldn’t recall…I watched the first episode and some of the second one but then was too tired to absorb it all …so I’ll rewind a little and finish the watch later…

…did you watch it all the way through…?…
…I can’t recall the details of the case but it felt as though his idea of a relationship was quite ‘fantasy’ and romanticised…and then when he was with the person who he obsessed over, he moved onto someone else in a repeat pattern of behaviour…that was just an initial thought, I’ll watch the completion of the story later…

so sad that the baby washed up separately as well, I listened to a podcast on this case and the baby's body was far less decomposed than Lacis, they think that he had stayed protected in side her for a long time, so sad.
I think it was poetic justice though that it was Amber's testimony and tapes that was the thing that swayed the jurors.

…she protected her child and also what her friends said that she wasn’t going to let him get away with what he did and for him finally be brought to trial, they needed her body and the body of her child…I mean, it’s just heart breaking but her voice was heard, though…I have a lot of respect for Amber, she was obviously a victim of it all as well and his lies and fantasy…but as soon as she knew his lies, she distanced herself…and she was also determined in justice for Laci and her baby…

Poor Lacis mom too, 20+ years later and she still seems shattered by it all,as you would I can only imagine. I felt it so hard when she said, why did he have to kill her? Why didn't he just leave her? Heartbreaking

…and that’s so much what I was thinking as well…why couldn’t he have said that he didn’t want their life together and give her the chance of a life with her child…he didn’t want to be with her but why did he need to take her life…it was an ultimate evil and selfishness…
…we really felt her mom struggle through the whole documentary, didn’t we…all through her life that pain would be right there on the surface, wouldn’t it…I mean, we just can’t imagine…and she so much trusted and bonded with him as well…….

That poor woman and of course she lost her grandson as well.

Just started this, the red flag straight away for me was going out in a boat when he was meant to be going golfing, maybe some witnesses will come forward later but did he just leave the dog out with the leash on and how come now one saw him do that or take the dog to the park
