EASTENDERS is to feature a race hate storyline inspired by the Celebrity Big Brother row.

Albert Square tearaway Jay will shock viewers by calling Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) a “black cow”.

And bad boy Sean Slater (Rob Kazinsky) has a furious run in with Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) and refers to the Caribbean shopkeeper as “your lot”.

Show chief Diederick Santer told TV Biz: “The Celebrity Big Brother race row kicked off as I took charge of my first scripts.

“I thought it was fascinating because it showed there was a real need for a debate about race in Britain.

“BB didn’t do it particularly well so I thought it could be something EastEnders should do.

“Our stuff won’t be overly moralistic or preachy but it will tackle this serious issue head on.”

The scenes will air this summer.

For what is portrayed in Soaps like Eastenders, in relation to race issues, is happily shown well before the watershed.

Racism is going to take place again in Eastenders this time, and it has been inspired by CBB5.

Well, that is acceptable, in society on BBC1 in their biggest soap.

But when innocent housemates like Jade Goody, Jo O'Meara and Danielle Lloyd get shamed after a CH4 reality show, it beggars belief, when the word "Race" is brought up again.

Yes I watched it last night when young Jay called Llandi that was out of order especially in front of his mates too TUT! TUT!:shocked:

I love Eastenders but I don't see the need to bring this up.
