[The company said it is re-evaluating the mix
of self-service and staffed checkouts.
Mr Baitieh explained that Morrisons is
"reviewing the balance between self-checkouts
and manned tills" indicating a shift away
from automated tills. He said:
"Morrisons went a bit too far with the self-checkout.]

Good job. I used to go into Morrisons and 7.20am and no one was on the till.
But there were three self service tills. They expect you to go on those that early.
Not me.
I have to call for an assistant to come on the till, so now I go in there later at 1pm.

Morrisons cheap ice cream used to be 95p. Now it's £1.25. That's not too far behind the really yummy posh ice cream, at £2.10. So I buy the yummy one now. :p ;)

Id say Morrisons is better than Asda, Tesco and Sainsburys.
But i'm and M&S shopper and Amazon Fresh shopper.
M&S did my lunch today, Amazon Fresh did my dinner

I do love M&S but that’s a treat shop very rarely. Usually it’s Aldi/Lidl for most stuff (I find most of their stuff is fine) and Tesco/Sainsbury's for anything we can’t get there. I can’t justify spending so much money on shopping. I prefer to save the money for other things (as we all know I have a penchant for travelling/holidays haha).
I grow a lot of my own veg, so that helps take that out of our budget.

…I do too but you can buy 4 or 5 tomatoes, some spring onions and a few carrots and it’s …that’ll be £45.60, please…it’s sadly not really feasible for an average household budget, let alone a tighter budget…
…I know it’s a very unpopular notion but I think that Marks and Spencer food is very overrated…

Yeah all their made in store stuff is very good - the hot food, pizzas, pies and pasties, deli counter etc. also a good bakery section. Can't speak much for the salad though
My local Morrisons has literally just doubled the self service area though and made it all trolley friendly which doesn't fit with this headline lol

i think it depends what you get there. Good, fresh produce is the same wherever you get it. The difference becomes obvious when it comes to specific sources of meat etc. Some of their ready meals are excellent, others are very ordinary

…yeah, I think…(…I’ve mentioned before…)..because I’m quite obsessed with the Yuka app so don’t really very often eat processed foods, which are generally a big no…the ready meals aren’t something that appeal to me ….
