[A city tenant was caught out by eagle-eyed
council investigators who spotted his
council home listed on Airbnb.
Birmingham council tenant Reza Sherafaty
listed his illegal sublet council house
on the popular rental site as a
"lovely" private house.

Mr Sherafaty was rumbled after
Birmingham City Council obtained
a court order to get information from Airbnb.
The local authority found that
Sherafaty, 39, had rented out the property
for a total of 158 nights,
earning himself £8,127.27 in rental fees.]

Yep back when I lived on a slightly-more-rough housing estate in my early 20's, there was a woman across the road living with her three daughters (who were like 18-23 in age range)... all three of whom had their own council flats elsewhere in the town, that they rented out to other people cash-in-hand. So dodgy :joker:.

Plus the parents of a school friend of my daughter "split up" at one point and the mum and kids "moved into a different house" on housing allowance... but weirdly enough... you could see that the dad was always there on her facebook... and there was some other random guy clearly staying in the "dad's" house....
