Absolutely determined not to put the heating on though until it's officially October.

You'll have to start shifting out your jumpers & winter coats, I need to get my winter coat sorted.

Yeah I need a decent winter coat. It'll have to wait a few weeks.

Weather was weird here today. Was raining quite heavily then it got clearer in the afternoon and now we’ve got drizzle. I was wearing shorts today at work (I was in the warehouse/ office) but I think I need to come to terms now that summer is officially over.

You could move here ... we won't get a true winter until probably January. We hit a high of 91 (32C) and had a very nice warm breeze all day and tons of sun  I went out and did some shopping...

I use thin fleeces on the top and bottom under the sheets and sandwich myself between those. The bodyheat creates the same effect and it's very toasty and cosy. No electric needed and it's an effective way to stay insulated even if the room is frigid. Most of our blankets are Sunbeam brand in the US and they're engineered to fail after the first year or so, so they need replacing constantly. Complete waste of money so I've not bought a blanket since learning the trick with the fleece. We survived the Texas Winter Outage just staying underneath the covers and pups were warm also. Glad I didn't go through that with an infant (that was a year before...)

Yeah I've been a lot colder this week but I really love the cold. There is nothing better than doing that shiver dance under a blanket or being able to put on a snoodie!!!!!

This morning I got up to go to the loo about 5am and my feet were completely numb from sticking out the bottom of the bed. :joker:

I need to dig out my fleece blankets I think...
