The other night Gerry & Liam were having a discussion on what words are offensive and Liam said 'Is it offesive to call someone a quer'? Gerry said 'Yes' then when the discussion carried on Gerry said the 'N' word and Brian was sitting at the table with them. Obviously it wasn't aimed at him but it still must have made him feel uncomfortable. What are your views? Should he have been called to the diary room about it?

IMO, No. He didn't use it to insult somebody or in a offensive or aggressive manner. If Brian was uncomfortable or offended he should have said something but i don't think he was. There was a moment when Brian shook his head agreeing with what Gerry was saying.

Gerry wasn't using THE 'N' word, just Negro which isn't really offensive at all.

Yeah and you are right I think he should have been a little more thoughtful with Brian sitting across the table from him. But he definitely didn't mean anything by what he said.
