Start with 18 housemates on Launch Night
Two housemates who are related or best friends
At least one housemate in their 40s
One or two housemates aged 18/19
A housemate from Ireland
A non-binary/gender-fluid housemate
A housemate from the GRT (Gypsy, Romani(y), Traveller) community
A housemate over 60 to surpass Lesley Brain (Series 8) as the oldest BBUK housemate
Launch Night:
The 1st housemate has already entered the house before the launch show as a Secret Housemate and are being hidden in a secret room where they can watch the other HMs entering. The secret housemate must keep their existence hidden from the main housemates.
As each housemates enters, they are told to pick from 1 of 17 glittery envelopes laid on the table. Each housemate is instructed not to open their envelope until told to do so by BB.
Once Housemate No 17. has arrived, all housemates are told to open their envelopes to reveal their fate. The cards inside the envelopes contain various outcomes such as - Immunity, Nomination, Nomination Curse, Eternal Immunity, Triple Nomination and Big Brother's Biggest Bombshell.
The amount of times each outcome appears various, except for Big Brother's Biggest Bombshell which only appears once.
Immunity grants the recipient immunity from being nominated during the first round of nominations.
Nomination means that individual faces the 1st public vote.
Nomination Curse means the housemate faces the public vote every week.
Triple Nominations means the recipient must nominate 3 housemates each week instead of two
Eternal Immunity means the housemate is immune from being nominated by their fellow HMs every week, but can still face the public vote if and when all housemates face the public vote.
Big Brother's Biggest Bombshell means that the HM with that card will be offered £25,000 out of the £100,000 prize money. However, in order to receive the money, they must leave the house immediately and pick another housemate to take with them... The housemate they pick will leave with nothing! If they refuse to pick a housemate, they will be evicted without the £25,000. If the HM doesn't want to accept the cash offer, they can decline and stay in the house, but they must select another HM to be rewarded with £25,000 once they are evicted from the house.
So we have the potential of a double eviction on the 1st night
After all HMs have arrived, Housemate No. 1 (in the secret room) is told to change the fates of three of the housemates. The secret housemate must decide a new outcome for three of the housemates. Big Brother's Biggest Bombshell is no longer an option.
On Day 6, the secret housemate joins the main house after days of manipulating events in the house. Upon entering the main house, the housemate is tasked with nominating one housemate for the next public vote face-to-face - based purely on what they have seen whilst being in the secret room.
