I did watch tonight's. It seems like overacting atm. Every single rapper that comes on the show feels they have to adapt this sh*tty personality (particularly around women) which is so annoying. Probably when I watch up to that point I'm going to have a very different opinion if I see he is intentionally carving himself out as being the house woman chaser... ick... but right now, I find it hard to believe he can catch anything but a failed entertainment career.

@ bold; I think this is certainly true. ITV does seem to not do it as unapologetically as C5, but they obviously have to manage them as storylines to show how individual narratives are progressing within the house. Though, I think that in Marcello's case his persona is not getting away from him at all, but rather what we see is of his own crafting. It's hard not to want to see highlights of this as it gives clear evidence as to how he intends to play the game. I suspect he really thinks he's signed up for a different type of show. The producers may have also signed him for exactly that reason, in that he really believe he's some kind of crafty gameplayer, whereas he hasn't yet realized how it's usually the HMs themselves that get played by their own games...

He's still not as bad yet as other past HMs that ended up getting ejected for crossing similar social lines. But we shall see.

I don't want to ruin the guy's life as he hasn't actually gone out of his way to try and harm the women in the house.

Yes he is a creep, but I think that we have to be careful on Social Media platforms when we're calling him a "predator" and questioning him working as a Youth Mentor, because he hasn't actually committed a crime.

I will personally stick to thinking that he is a bit odd with his obsession with women sexually, but not anything potentially criminal.

I'm OK with being labeled a prude. Doesn't bother me either way. I value intimacy and so things like privacy are important. It makes all experiences in life feel the more precious.

My current thought is he is auditioning for a role on another show (preferably a sexier one, it seems). I can't blame anyone for not feeling comfortable though, but it's also BB's fault for giving us 15-30 minutes of back-to-back cringe. It's like they want TVs to get smashed...

Here's hoping one of the women grow a pair and correct him at some point, because it's frustrating watching him get in so many attempts with not so much as a basic warning by the women, not even BB. But I'm not going to lie, in the vast majority of cases a person like Marcello I would just ignore or treat less seriously because it's the worst possible response to give to someone seeking to compel validation. In the house, it's a bit different because I'm sure they feel compelled to respond to his behavior in some way, even if they have no real urge to do so negatively yet, since they're all technically "playing a game". It is in some ways in their interest to absorb the behavior until a Limit Break is reached... then maybe the ultimate summons can be coordinated amongst the women and a nice show can then be had for all... sometimes in real life when dealing with these things isolated, immediately calling out can just backfire and only encourages the behavior... hard to explain that, but I feel like the reason people like Marcello and his pathology exists is because they're so used to rejection, they practically see it coming ... but there really should be a point where none of that crap matters anyway.

…oh I agree, Maru….I said a few days ago that this felt a bit like an audition process for Love Island and that he’s hoping to be in that island villa next year….he did say in his bio though that he was open to find a lady that he could just laugh and joke with and feel comfortably easy with…but he does seem to struggle with relating to females beyond their physical attraction …..

Marcello has cheeky banter that just lands badly. Despite that, he tries to laugh with women, not at them. There is no misogyny involved.

We see who he really is in his friendship with Sarah and the fact that she seems to be the dominant one in that pair and he seems to listen to her.

Yes, his flirty play is often awkward and just badly done, but that's all it is... Play.
