I wouldn't think to share anything that has my body fluids attached to it with a person who is actively going out of their way to overly sexualize interactions with other females in the house. I certainly couldn't push aside that tendency with an SO watching :laugh: It's too hard to believe for me she wouldn't be aware of that with her psych background, either.

That said, I don't think he or the gf would be offended by a bad joke at home because it's so obviously not a "thing" between them. And if the girlfriend were to be the sensitive jealous type, she would be even more careful with her interactions around that person. So the level she had to take it to to find offense, imo, seems a bit strange.

I'm not saying it has to this delicately contrived scheme of 3D chess, but Marcello is his own downfall waiting to happen. It's clear to us, so have to think, it's reasonably clear to many of them in there? Interacting directly with him is a good way to test how he actually handles conflict and whether he actually is intentionally hitting buttons or not. So she can figure out what might happen with him by making him more comfortable around her with little gestures like sharing a vape as it gives her a chance to make a good analysis of him. It's not to get him evicted per say because he's going anyway... but any resulting drama from his bad wording of virtually anything can work in her favor also if she plays her cards right, since we know Marcello is quite the skilled wordsmith according to Marcello... Still, it's too early for anyone to start up too much drama, as Marcello is an easy pickings for the next person out. Doing nothing about it is an easy way to avoid getting under people's skin and being nominated earlier on.

I don't think the HMs are as offended by his commentary and behavior as we might be out here, but other than Lily, they would have to be daft to not even be considering how he easily could be perceived based on past ejections alone.

Hmmmm.. That gives me something to consider. Honestly, if it weren't for her psych background, I could've just as easily chocked it to slow reaction time and not really thinking through regarding who she was dealing with. But I might have still kept her on yellow. However, I feel like of all the HMs there, even with an Autism diagnosis, she has a potential edge when it comes to gameplay if she plays her cards right. It's entirely possible though she or BB are over-representing her expertise. That wouldn't be surprising either.

So I can't say his "intent" is this or that... basically, he's just Marcello... I would say it's victimless, but then we're sat here forced to sit through his cringe back to back so... it's probably not as intense in the house... one would hope.

That’s spot on. And the ‘compliments’ didn’t come across as genuine but more as tools to achieve certain aims. It’s sad that such false flattery and smutty comments seem to boost the confidence of women with low self-esteem, as it is worth nothing from such self-serving, shallow and vomit-inducing men like Marcelo.

There is definitely some merging of terminology - from my understanding, people who have characteristics of both conditions are now referred to as AuDHD, whereas they were previously recorded as ASD/ADHD or ADHD with Autistic tendencies or vice versa. It just means the terminology is more succinct.

However, the students I work with, in a mainstream setting, vary greatly. Many are purely Autistic and have no characteristics of ADHD, and in fact are hyper-focused and self-contained, rather than attention deficit of hyperactive.

Others are purely ADHD with no Autistic traits, and some are just ADD, so ADHD without the hyperactivity. ItÂ’s all very individual, and no two people with either or both of the conditions will present exactly the same, as there are so many different traits that form each condition, and individuals can have all or just some, and to varying degrees. People can have a diagnosis, but only by knowing and monitoring them very closely is it possible to identify the traits that are most prominent in them, and which pose the most difficulties.

If I was to make a guess at this stage, I would say Ali has these conditions to mild degree, with fewer tendencies than many. For me, she has shown the attention-deficit aspect of ADD, rather than the hyperactivity of ADHD. This might mean she needs longer to absorb or process information, especially in a social setting, whereas her Autistic tendencies would make it harder for her to read people and situations, due to a very literal understanding of language. This would explain why she took MarcelloÂ’s joke so seriously and why her response was slightly delayed.

There is definitely some merging of terminology - from my understanding, people who have characteristics of both conditions are now referred to as AuDHD, whereas they were previously recorded as ASD/ADHD or ADHD with Autistic tendencies or vice versa. It just means the terminology is more succinct.

However, the students I work with, in a mainstream setting, vary greatly. Many are purely Autistic and have no characteristics of ADHD, and in fact are hyper-focused and self-contained, rather than attention deficit of hyperactive.

Others are purely ADHD with no Autistic traits, and some are just ADD, so ADHD without the hyperactivity. ItÂ’s all very individual, and no two people with either or both of the conditions will present exactly the same, as there are so many different traits that form each condition, and individuals can have all or just some, and to varying degrees. People can have a diagnosis, but only by knowing and monitoring them very closely is it possible to identify the traits that are most prominent in them, and which pose the most difficulties.

If I was to make a guess at this stage, I would say Ali has these conditions to mild degree, with fewer tendencies than many. For me, she has shown the attention-deficit aspect of ADD, rather than the hyperactivity of ADHD. This might mean she needs longer to absorb or process information, especially in a social setting, whereas her Autistic tendencies would make it harder for her to read people and situations, due to a very literal understanding of language. This would explain why she took MarcelloÂ’s joke so seriously and why her response was slightly delayed.

Again, given her autistic traits, that wouldn’t surprise me. I know my Autistic kids don’t cope well with noise, crowds, too much movement around them or hectic situations, and many also have a greater need for personal space.

I had a student shut himself in a store cupboard because he was unable to cope with some chaos occurring outside of my classroom. The poor lad became totally overwhelmed, and needed to be coaxed out. Obviously, his Autism was more extreme than Ali’s, but they probably both find the same things triggering in terms of their sense of stability.
