View Full Version : Trouble again between Ali and Khaled
Benjamin

Tonight’s show will highlight tensions between the two again.
Ali called him out about some of his false behaviours; lacking empathy and yawning/being bored during the eviction but then checking in on everyone to see if they’re ok. This led her to feeling as though he is being false. Apparently Khaled admitted he was like that during the eviction.

…yeah, in the Peek vid today it was Lily who mentioned her doubts first about Khaled and thought she was the only one…Ali confirmed that she had doubts as well but hadn’t she already voiced that to Khaled directly anyway…

People with ADHD often have very strong moral convictions, and feel a strong need to uphold them. This can make them very quick to judge others who they perceive as behaving unfairly or unjustly

Very possible
An attention to detail should be a plus in judging character - I notice things about people that they don’t even notice themselves
When I am watching a footie game on telly and someone comes on as a substitute.. I can tell within seconds who the new player is by his gait ( the way he runs ) when the camera shows play from a distance .

It should bode him well in the future.
On the one hand she talks about how her ADHD can make interactions challenging and also goes on about how everyone's own way of experiencing things is the most valid etc. and yet she is being very judgey and cynical towards other housemates for how they express themselves and questions their authenticity. If anyone did the same to her she'd no doubt feel outraged

Well she’s not perfect ( ok lookswise she may be lol)
I’d guess her mind is overworking/overheating, constantly contemplating everything that she is seeing and hearing and then trying to make sense of each thing by applying everything she has learnt and studied and experienced over the years

Why though? He might not have personally cared about who left, but he could probably see that other people wanted comforting. Or maybe he felt bad for how he came off, and was trying to make up for it.

Well judging by L& L exclusive all the housemates must be a bunch of heartless Bstrds then ,why is Khaled getting singled out . Will Best even joked on L& L to Ryan he was like " sorry mate they've moved on" . Martha had the biggest grin on her face like she was glad Ryan had gone .

I remember remarking in the main episode thread that it was such a bizarrely tepid reaction from everyone involved. Ryan reacted like he knew it was coming, which is fair enough, but everyone else didn't even seem to bother with making the customary song and dance about it. Very strange eviction.

Khaled really got up housemates noses last night.
Lots of muttering about it.
Azeez was pulled up by Khaled for not being in his corner re the argument.
I think he had a go at Lilly as well.
He has dropped from my top three, very disappointing the way he was handling the situation.

I now dislike Ali ,what ashame ...this one actually hurts as I was really hoping she'd be a breath of fresh air . And I liked how composed and intelligent she initially was.
But she's just a ice cold bitch , that conversation she had with Khaled was dreadful to the ears ,and it was the most pointless tone deaf thing.
she wasn't taking on board a word he said, she's made a snap judgement of him out of nowhere. Even when he tried apologising, she just shut him down and walked off in a very weird passive aggressive way. She's made up her mind about him...and she clearly won't give him a chance.
Does she think she's above him ? . She's stuck up and seems to have a permanent scowl on her face . If she wants to psycho analyse the housemates, maybe she should try and apply for the therapist job next time on L& L ...but somehow I think Judi James' job is safe... So Judi has nothing to worry about.
Only time I've seen Ali crack a smile is when Nathan broke wind . She really is a sour lemon :bored: .
…I’m not going to dislike Ali after one highlight show and one conversation…and I don’t think either she or Khaled looked great from it all…but I’m thinking more that she’s not really someone who can easily be part of a group…I wonder as a psychologist, how she would analyse herself…

I don't agree or disagree on that statement tbh.

I disagree about her ' expressing it well', that conversation she had with Khaled was just her talking at him in a very clinical passive aggressive way. I could feel Khaled's confusion & frustration through the screen, she walked away in such a dismissive way ...and had a final sarcastic tone towards him.
She is making herself come across as unfeeling and cold, and it'a not a good look.

Disagree.
She was very clear on what she said. She had nothing else to say so that was it. People don't always like the forward approach.
He was frustrated because he's a people pleaser. He wanted to resolve it, but Ali didn't particularly want to, that's how she felt
To sit there and slate someones personality, then just get up and walk out when they try to defend themselves is the act of a cold and callous individual.

From what Ali said in the diary room last night about her girlfriend and family being disappointed she hasn't flown under the radar and said all the right things to stay in, she's a bit pissed that Khaled is managing to do just that and so she is going after him.
Just my take on it and I could be way off. I do wish Ali would just take a breath, stop analysing everything and try and enjoy it. She's a great housemate but she is going to ruin her own experience if she doesn't chill a little

I could of said all the right things and my housemates and public would of swallowed it whole because I’m that good
I think with Kahled, Ali has a pre conceived perception of the way muslim men are with women and she is trying in her head to justify her hatred of muslim men by nit picking at kahled and everything he says.
Anyway, I hope she walks to save us a boring interview.

I can understand your response, as even though I understand why Ali might have behaved as she did, on this occasion, I don’t think she handled the situation well, and I didn’t like how she made her accusations and humiliated Khaled in a very public way, even though to her, she probably perceived her behaviour as honest, genuine and direct.
If she felt this way, it would have been kinder and more appropriate to have discussed it with Khaled in a personal, rather than public setting.
I do kind of agree that her perception of Khaled has been influenced and formed with her professional head on, rather than from norms of behaviour in a social setting - the first approach of which she would find a confident and comfortable way of thinking, whilst the second would be much more difficult for her to understand. Autistic people can become quite fixated on an idea, and I feel that Ali has made a judgement of Khaled that she cannot now shake off, and which might influence her perception of everything he does in future. I don’t personally agree with her perception, or find her judgement justified.
Even though I might understand why she may have behaved as she did, I don’t believe she chose the right approach on this occasion, and I do wonder whether she might recognise that when she has had some time to think.

It just didn’t sit right as he said it
This person explains it better - especially the last sentence
:::::
Is Khaled not proving Ali’s point with that statement “it’s hard to do good things. Everyone’s got selfish desires. God know I wanna say some **** […] If someone starts throwing daggers at me, I throw a lot harder. I’ve been nice and smiley but ….. “

It says absolutely nothing of the sort, he's saying if someone attacks his character he will do that same. Wouldn't most people stick up for themselves?

He actually said he’d been nice and smiley but. … meaning he hasn’t been showing his true emotions/feelings .
Isn’t that exactly what Ali accused him of doing?

That's not at all what that means, he had no reason not to be nice and smiley until someone called him fake

I appreciate your response Garfie :wavey:
I know Ali is on the spectrum , but It also feels like she can't just accept that Khaled might just be a normal guy . She seems to be dissecting him constantly, she needs to stop analysing him .
I joked in another thread ...that if BB allowed writing tools , she'd probably be robotically nodding her head
whilst jotting down notes as Khaled is trying to get his
point across.
She may think she's giving her honest direct opinion, but the third degree she's now giving Khaled over his nomination twist - decision is just ridiculous, the guy had to choose something, and either way people would be complaining . A damned if he does & damned if he doesn't situation .
And now hearing on L& L exclusive that Ali was threatening to leave, I'm sorry it just gives me " my game plan failed " energy . I don't think she expected Khaled to stand up to her in such a strong mature way . She obviously sees him as a silly boy or something. But I think he acted alot better than she did ,he explained his reasons. And you can tell it's frustrating for him to constantly be attacked.
He was even trying to persuade her to stay , but I guess she wanted her melodramatic moment. Plus she's still running away from Khaled & dismissing him . He was trying to put their differences aside by looks of it. She's being so difficult.
