His friend to that point is under attack and he didn't have the strength to call it as it is, preferring to 'stay neutral'.
This has to be some of the worst gameplaying ever in that house... He had a rock solid alliance and he threw it away for... What?
And then to go right to Ali, escalating it all. This will be noticed.
The man has played himself. But, hey, at least he isn't invisible anymore.

I expected him to back Khaled a little more but I think their bromance is still early days and he wouldn't want to get Ali offside. I hope Ali doesn' come between them.

Yep...stupidest move I have ever seen..... should have just agreed to disagree, maintained his "neutral" stance and kept his big gob shut.... but no... he had to trot off to Ali and spill his guts

No idea why he needed to share the conversation with Ali, seemed a snakey move
Some of the HMs seem to thing Ali is this all seeing power because she is a pyschologist, the way she is carrying on she will never work in that profession again, she is manipulating someone years younger than her into thinking she can read minds ....

Disagree .... the only person who thinks Ali can 'read minds' is the vacuous Lily who is a robot that can service chinese takeaway customers on the phone but otherwise is functionally inadequate on a day-to-day basis

Lily knows what she's doing.
She is making herself appear dim, but she agrees with Ali on Khaled, but she can't display why she also distrusts Khaled because it would mean she would have to stop pretending to be a 6 year old.

See... I see Lily in this a lot differently. I don't really buy into this super genius under cover thing for her. Yes, she has a kind of feral cunning and instinct for gameplay, but all this thinking that she is pretending to be dumb? I think that there is a rock solid chance that she actually is just that.
I think that it's highly likely that she has been duped by Ali on this matter and is being led by her because she sees Ali as being clever. All she has done so far in all this simply repeat Ali's opinions.
I suspect that Ali is intentionally using her.

I'm not saying that Lily is Mensa level genius of intellect.
I just also don't buy that she's being led astray by Ali either, for starters she planted the "Ali can read minds" comment in the Diary Room in the hopes that the public would get to see it on the highlights, and think what you're thinking now, and what other people are also thinking tbf.
It's good gameplay off Lily tbf.

I think they are both using each other. I don't see either being friends on the outside.,

I just think you are giving her way to much credit
That could have as easily been said simply because she is dumb enough to believe it and not as part of some Machiavellian play to socially engineer the public.

True.
I think that we're both seeing this situation very differently, time will tell on which one of us is right.

I love your threads.
He's OK. I can learn to like snakes.

I do wonder if that's actually what really happened. I figured it made sense if they were going to form an alliance as that seemed likely, but now I'm not quite sure.
Khaled in his own words had said to Izaaz he knew he was warmer with the other group, but then they tried to play it off as just a nothing burger of a chat. Which basically gave him a free pass to go cause trouble with the other HMs because what would be the consequences? Khaled is still going to be friendly, etc. I mean they let him walk out the door and immediately were like "I think he's gone forever..." (paraphrase, exaggeration) ... I understand why they let him walk out with things as they were (that's logical) but then they just sat there and let everything happen organically. That also was weird to me and I wasn't sure why the conversation had to happen in the first place. If they were trying to recruit him, they weren't doing a good job of it.
This cast is very competitive and I think up until now they were still trying to go about it like most of them are not calculating how to beat a game. I'd say that's gone out the window now...

The whole thing was a bit odd in how it went down, yeah.
I suspect that came from them just assuming he was on side and then being surprised and awkward when he showed he wasn't their guy, but it's hard to tell with these super short and manipulated edits we get these days.

I think Izaaz wants everyone to like him ,and he wants to be everyone's friend. I could tell he was carefully choosing his words around both Khaled & Ali... it's as if he's more bothered about the backlash / his own wellbeing than his friendship with Khaled.
I was hoping he'd defend Khaled more aswell, I wondered if he was just a bit taken back by Ali's remarks... Rosie was gobsmacked when Lily started piping up about Khaled aswell. I think a few housemates are still firmly wanting to keep the peace / stay firmly on the fence .
However Izaaz is supposed to be close to Khaled, and Khaled was well in his right to question Izaaz on what exactly is going on ie the " bad vibes" . Izaaz probably wants an easy life but he needs to be careful as this is a risky game and I don't want him to come across as 2 faced.

I know late and live called Izaaz Khaled’s sidekick, but I absolutely felt Segun was his sidekick last night especially during the convo with Izaaz.

I think Khaled and Segun saw it as an alliance of 3 until Izaaz blew it up, so it's probably fair up to that point to say both were.
