View Full Version : Would you have selected 2 or 3 police officers?

For the 24 hour task?
I'd have picked anyone in the surrounding beds to mine. I'd have spent the whole economy on that.

3 as it's more fair surely? , staying awake for that long is difficult.
It would have been better if more housemates could be rotating shifts with Izaaz & Thomas.

I'd have left it at 2.
To try to get them irritated once they found out.
they should have accepted they were going to fail that task and got a decent nights sleep for the next days tasks

I would have picked 2. It would be a good way to punish housemates you didn't like.

Imagine sleeping for an hour or two and then being woken up to swop shifts that would be worse imo.

Two. They had no idea how the budget is going to be challenged on day two and falling asleep for four hours and waking up is probably worse than staying awake.

Exactly…how tempting would it have been to stay in bed. Khalid was right.

Just getting comfy and warm and nodding off then someone wakes up up. Imagine how angry Izaaz would be then haha.

I agree on the point it's far worse to get up again once you're not ready to wake up so I would have gone with 2. At least it wasn't 1. That would have been a disaster. On a separate note, was it just me that thought it was a bit wrong the amount of time the others spent on getting to the sofa so Izaaz and Thomas could end their task? Almost an hour! Surely they should have made that their first priority?

They probably saw the steam coming out of Izaaz ears and thought let him dwell a bit more.

 I know but (I think it was) Nathan pointed out he was falling asleep when they eventually got there. That could have caused a potential fail.

Yeah, think Marcus said 51 minutes which was a bit extreme. Get up, and either put on a t-shirt and shorts, or just stay in pjs, and get out there. I do wonder if the cabinet had to be in their suits though - I think they were all dressed in their task attire at when Izaaz and Thomas were relieved from duty.

Yeah spot on. Doesn't take 51 minutes though does it? They were being a bit evil. Their actions too could have been detrimental to the end result. You've made me think now....

3 I can't function without sleep so I would be sympathetic to that

That's really not true, some sleep is definitely better than no sleep. You might feel awful for a bit after you wake up but in the long run it definitely stands to you. It's why you're advised to pull over and sleep for 10-20 minutes if you're very tired while driving.

Just want to point out too, it’s not like Izaaz and Thomas had pre-warning of this task so they could rest beforehand. They would have been up nearly 24 hours by the time the task ended.

Mm.
"Sleeping beyond the minimum 90-minute cycle may mean you fall deeper into your sleep cycle and will find it much harder to wake up."

That's literally what I said in my last post, you might find it hard to get up but once you do you'll feel the benefit from a nap and it will be easier to carry on with the task

Is it? So, in your opinion, they should sleep for less than 90 mins at a time? Well to be fair, not even an opinion as you're pretty dismissive of my comment.
That quote is pretty much what I said.

I don't think it's really an opinion I guess, I think its a fact that some sleep is better than no sleep

Hang on. That quote I used says it's much harder to wake up once you go past 90 minutes of sleep. Which is what I was trying to convey in my post. You dismiss that as untrue and now tell me it's a fact? I posted my opinion from what I know and my experience. I don't go around telling everyone that's not true and it's a fact. What works for one might not for another.
I said "I agree on the point it's far worse to get up again once you're not ready to wake up."
Jesus...
it takes time to get into deep sleep and then everyone needs about 90 mins of that to allow your body to repair itself. Thats really minimum requirements each day
