Yes. I thought it felt like during the pairings task that Ali was holding back on a good deal of zingers. She's very clever, but she's also very nasty. I think she's timing some things to line up with making certain HMs more nervous, so she can manipulate them passively. By saying very little and acting a different way (edit: aggressively working people behind the scenes), she's managing to control the behavior of quite a few of them atm because they're on edge.

Marcello had been in there for a few weeks and it took her this long to mention anything about supposed job security being impacted? That doesn't wash for me.

I personally think that Ali could've just ignored his chat personally.

Ironically her engaging with the chat will put her job in more danger I would imagine.

The one point that I do think that Marcello should take from Ali though, is about his job prospects when he gets out of the house.

I personally don't agree with it (as Marcello hasn't done anything criminal) but his chats that he likes to have will limit what kind of jobs that he'll have a chance at being able to get.

I agree with you that Ali is coming across a bit moody, and imo she has issues with men that might get deemed by the general public as more "lads, lads."

But I do think that Ali is an interesting person despite these flaws.

I'm hoping there's more to these twists, beyond Ali's gameplay method and the showmance, so that maybe any pairs-related tasks helps to unearth some interesting new dynamics and it's not just those two things. I just find all of it too predictable.
