"Lily taking the phone call for Allies family and mixing up Segun and Lily for Vivian was just hilarious for me. Then Ally just accepting it at face value after being confused by it and Segun happy with the non existent shout out"

Worst misunderstanding in BB  lol , poor innocent Segun...non the wiser.
It was like a translator caught in a washing machine. And they need to stop comparing Lily to Nikki Grahame on L & L  .There was more to Nikki than screaming, plus she was actually funny at times.

He may not be Mr. Popular on the outside but he'll always be Mr. Oblivious on the inside. At this rate, he'll be evicted during Halloween via a freak accident task and not even know what had happened to him.

Plus Nikki was really childlike.
I honestly believe that we're not seeing the real Lily in the slightest.

Oh, bless him. I don’t understand the dislike of him. I’m perceiving him as a rather lovely person, and I think there is a real sweetness to him. I think we see more of his real character on LF.
I recognise I might be totally wrong in my perception, but I’m feeling fonder and fonder of him as time goes on, :conf3:

I blame it on the fact we haven't seen much of him really, but in general, he seems like a big softy. I think he does have a weird habit of saying the wrong things at the worst time  (Like the red witch thing). I can see him getting in arguments with his future wife over simple things like wording and bad timing.
I don't think the overall message was lost. Lily added a little bit of divine intervention using the alcoholic spirits to make it a bit more otherworldly. Remember, they prayed seriously together. Jesus has it covered. It got us all to lighten up on Segun and Ali and perhaps that's in the plan. If it pushes Segun and Ali much closer together and that somehow has a catalyst in her relationships with the other men, it may end up being a better series for it...

Ali did say in the Dr that she'll " trust it " :skull: , maybe she can drop the whole " red witch " now :fc: .

I actually don't get why some have to compare HM'S to previous ones. They're a person in their own right. It's a trait. Not necessarily a good one. Like, you're a shoe, let's put you in that box. I'm not necessarily explaining it that well!

I think the same. She just doesn’t make sense. I’ve said before that part of me suspects that she is trying to present as a combination of some of the memorable and popular housemates of the past - I’m thinking Nikki, Jade, ‘blinking’ Helen, Pete, etc.
I’m not sure but sometimes I think her extremes of behaviour are part of some massive role play, as it is obvious from her vocabulary, her understanding of certain concepts, and her University place, that she has a lot more intelligence than she is choosing to portray.
To get into Uni, she must have achieved pretty good grades at A Level, to have had the intellectual ability and the self-discipline to focus on her studies, and been able to have had the self-control to present appropriately at her Uni interview. I don’t believe the persona we are seeing in the house would have been capable of that. It just doesn’t add up.

Exactly
If anything Lily wishes she was Nikki, but she's failing miserably.

It will certainly be interesting to see how this misunderstanding influences relationships in the house. It could be quite amusing to watch. I hope it does help Segun to get a better edit, as like yourself, I do think he is, in essence, actually a kind-hearted softie, and more interesting as a person than the main show has presented.

I personally don't mind Segun either.
I also controversially think that Martha and Marcello get OTT dislike by some of the public.

I 100% agree with everything you've said.
It doesn't add up at all, she seems like she can barely function in the house.

Exactly the same Garfie, you need to head over to his fan thread and put your name down, I think he is a lovely guy, if he survives this week and honesty why would anyone evict Segun, he will have an unwitting ali in Ali

…yeah I saw this on Reddit also……
…this applied in another thread but I’m thinking that it might become a catch-all gif this season…the housemates trying to work out how Ali’s phone call was all about the love of Segun…

Great to hear that, as I haven’t seen too many positive comments about Segun.
I definitely agree that the public tend to have extreme love or hate reactions to housemates, and then either defend or criticise everything they do and say accordingly. I guess some people like to watch it that way, and I do think that the producers play into that viewing style.
I like to remember that housemates are complex human beings, and prefer to accept that they all have positive and negative qualities, so it’s okay to admire the good in them, as well as acknowledging their flaws. It’s also okay to adapt and adjust our views as housemates reveal more of their characteristics, just as in real life we might do with people as we get to know them better.

I 100% agree with you.
Some people treat these contestants like they're your favourite Sports team, rather than judging them based on all facets of their personality.
Tbf I used to be really bad for doing that as well, but I am trying to not be like that this series.
