View Full Version : Dean doubling down
I thought for a minute he almost had a slight excuse that you need to be harsh to get more blood out. But then he comes out and if anything was even harsher
It was great to see Marcello immediately confront him very calmly telling him 'that didn't reflect very well on you in there' and Sarah also very calmly call him out. Instead of showing a shred of humility he turns it into a pity me parade though.
I honestly think that was another level of nastiness to the usual bickering and arguments you get in there. He picked on aspects of people's personality and character that are not even harmful or have any negative effect on him
The way he has completely forgot or doesn't care that Sarah read out his boyfriends phone call so nicely as well. Short memory..
Just another person with a pre conceived opinion on people due to their looks, voice or mannerisms

"Okay I'm sorry that you got upset, but to be honest I think you're a prick."

His personality has been on display from the start and it’s not a good one
i think Nathan accusing Dean of being out to win, basically made dean take the gloves off and go for it

He's a nasty vindictive twat ,I've always thought so...but he's just revealing it more now. And he got way too personal than he needed to be . His excuses are weak, and he choose to make it far worse and deeper than it needed to be .
Imagine if it was the other way around, and like Hanah said if someone used the term " too feminine" ...you know Dean would be the first to call it out as " misogynistic" .
He made low blows to both Sarah & Marcello ,which were uncalled for .
Really good HL episode for Sarah & Marcello , I'm so pleased they challenged him...in the most composed intelligent way possible. And they showed him up ,for the pathetic weasel he really is .
He's never shared these views before to their faces , and like Sarah pointed out it's taken this task for him to finally come out with it all . Same with Marcello, he doesn't make the effort to get to know Marcello yet he was all " yeah bro " in the past, and he was crying in Sarah's arms after his phone call.
On the bright side, they can all see what a 2 faced worm Dean is now . So every silver lining :clap1: .
Marcello was still trying to be cool with him at the party ,I wouldn't be putting my arm around Dean...if he'd been that horrible about me.

Yeah, was happy they kept their composure
So pleased Marcello and Sarah were so calm they made him look like an idiot
They both handled it perfectly.
And Marcello shouldn't cook for Dean anymore. That'll force him to eat humble pie.

On one hand I do respect that Dean didn't be fake nice to Sarah and Marcello.
But on the other hand, why is the real him so messed up?

What sort of human being even is this guy?
I know this sounds weird, but I don't know that a lot of his opinions are actually his own in the way that he portrays it. When he was dealing with Ali more directly, you could see his facade being sucked out into outer space like a hole had opened up... and suddenly he became more like a blank slate (in some sense). I don't think that was an act. However, he is trying to win a game, and credit where credit is due, he is actually playing it fairly consistently.
Some of them act like they have Stockholm Syndrome in there... like did you not know you would be surrounded by schemes and subject to the manipulations of others?... wuh?
