Think back to the start of the series and Dean was this quite fun loving guy especially during the resort task. He got along with everyone well and seemed to enjoy spending time with people he wouldn't normally mix with on the outside

And then

He becomes Ali's sounding board for all her psychobabble and all of her narcissism which he laps up like a nodding dog. She convinces him that there's a massive house divide, she convinces him that they're victims and she convinces him that the 'queer people' are at the bottom of the house hierarchy.

This makes him think that everyone else is out to get him. People like Marcello, who he previously got along with, are now 'toxic' and bigoted. He falls into a siege mentality where he thinks that Ali is the only one worth listening to and the only one worth getting along with. This makes him nasty and spiteful towards everyone else as he nurses his own self-pity. He starts lashing out at people and is utterly convinced he's in the right by doing so because Ali will justify him with her psychological theories.

Thoughts?

Nah, don't think it's that deep. He's just a nasty person pure and simply. He didn't need Ali to switch it on, it was already his nature.

No, he was miserable and fake all by himself, Ali isn’t to blame for peoples problems

I expect she helped flame the fire within him, but that fire was lit long before he entered the house imo. He's just a very hateful person. Ali is too, but she's a lot more controlled with her hate and manipulation. Ali knows how to play the game so to speak, she knows if she wears a couple t-shirts and acts like a victim constantly the sheep will follow her. Dean was just way too vocal with his hate of all those different to him.

Nah. I just think that he couldn't maintain the constructed nice guy persona for the duration.

Dean sabotaged himself and Emma took advantage of that.

No.
If anything then I would say the opposite, she probably kept him saner than he really is.
Mad mean Dean.

Emma is a stone cold player killer lol. Both of her targets (Martha and Dean) are out with no trouble.

If it wasn’t for his interview I’d be inclined to agree, but he showed who he really was during L&L. Ali had no part in his downfall, he did it all by himself.

I think Ali definitely gassed him up & enabled him ,but I think he had a mask on before. But the switch in behaviour was very visible to see , which is why I think he talks alot of crap & utter lies. He clearly will try and do anything to win ,and it backfired.

He opened up to the boys including Ryan in the early days, about how he felt . And he got on with them all & said how welcoming and friendly they were to him , and he himself said so . Then suddenly after becoming Ali's
nodding dog...starts agreeing with everything. How the boys are "toxic ", and he just makes himself look very very pathetic & bitter.

He was clearly hiding his true self before, those embarrassing tantrums at tea bags and over not having a vape, was his weak attempt at showing he clearly has issues. Same with bagel gate ,and calling Izzaz the c word behind his back . Dean is a complete coward who thinks he's funny , he only confronted Marcello & Sarah face to face due to the blood task.

His style is usually to bitch about someone in another room , classic weasel behaviour.

He was even bitching about Lily's childish behaviour with Thomas in the bathroom, then on L& L he's singing her praises.... and slagging down other housemates for " patronising her", despite the fact he himself said she doesn't act like a proper 20 year old. He's so fake & 2 faced.

Ali plants seeds and sits back she has done it since day 1. It worked with Khaled and other housemates also. I thought Nathan was on to her at one point but somehow overnight she seemed to win him back around. I am not sure how she does that but must have 1 on 1's and get in their heads. She is playing the game well, but sadly not being her true self she is playing a part role.
