Apart from being momentous world news, both Nathan and Sarah will be supporters of Trump and his great friend Nigel Farage.

Nathan and Sarah could then tell the house and explain why its great news and
how America will be made great again, secure borders and safety for women's
safe spaces and women's sports being protected etc?

No, no outside news.

Except I would for a death, like they did with David Bowie, although his ex wife was in the house at the time

I think telling the HMs Trump has won would ignite some very interesting conversation/debate.

Tbh Sarah doesn't strike me as being particularly big on Farage. Depending on which election she voted UKIP in (I'm not sure she mentioned it), she's more the type to have voted UKIP as a warning to the Tory party imo.

The object of BB is they are CUT off from the outside world.
Not much point in BB at all if events were relayed in to them!

Was just coming to say this. Great point BB XX.

BB are missing the boat so to speak by not telling the housemates about major events, it's not like letting them have news from home or telling them how they are being perceived. It's just news stories and important ones at that. It would provoke interesting conversations yes as BBXX says... Liam's death as well as Trump's victory. Neither of these events will have an effect on how the housemates do within the show?

They've only got just over a week to go then they're all out anyway.

Absolutely no outside news should ever be relayed in to them.
That would be utterly ridiculous for a BB series.

Big brother shouldn't be politicised either by political events.

I think I remember her saying she voted for them once when she was 18.

our version has a Back To Reality themed week the week of the final

where they get newspapers in the house, with some recent news they've missed while in the house

It's never been the thing on the UK one.
There's no point in BB in my view if that was permitted.

They did as I said, tell David Bowies ex wife when she was in a series that David had died.
Which she then obviously told the house about.

In those circumstances for a death then I'd agree with that.
No other news from outside however.
No, it would make the whole thing pointless.

Some housemates spirits. Not sure about others.

I don't think they need to cause more conflict or division in there right now about something which has happened in the outside world.

No, no outside contact. I am 100% on that in all forms, including phone calls, visits, and letters.

They can get the good news when they leave the house.

The only outside tips I like it when a plane with a banner use to fly over the house back in the good days of BB.
