Anyhow, I have just watched the John Lewis advert and I am now a wreck.
The music and the whole story…beautiful, very tear jerking.

Lovely to see none commercial adverts all the time.

Slight tangent but Disney started installing Christmas decorations 1st November !!

In fact they were spraying snow on buildings and rooftops late October .

Interestingly they are playing Christmas music but only instrumentals for now - which is ok ..

I hope that isn't their ad. There's nothing beautiful about being bereaved. If I'd seen that advert in the few years after my first husband died I would have been inconsolable with grief. I thought Christmas was supposed to be a happy time. But hey, so long as sales are on the up, who cares? Merry ****ing Christmas.

The John Lewis advert was really confusing me until the end when I realised what was going on. I did feel like the one doing the shopping had died or something when say said I can't, to join us. I thought something dramatic was gonna happen. It made feel dizzy but I did sort of like it
