Like we’re hitting the final now and nearly half the housemates are starting come into their own and won’t be the Lily show. But we’ll not get to see them come into their own now as it’s the final. We need it to be 8 weeks not 6.

Disagree i think this is long enough more so when the winner is a disappointment makes you feel like youve wasted time no one wants to waste 8 weeks

Ali would have likely been evicted had there been 3 more weeks to go. ;)

I doubt that it's not just that but i think the longer the series it the more it starts to get dry near the end maybe 7 weeks then.

8 weeks would be perfect.

Love Island feels like it goes on for months.

7 weeks would be better to be fair, should have started in September as well.

As long as my favourite reaches the final so I don't lose the will to follow it midway through.

But I do feel the optimum series length would really be eight to ten weeks.

I'd more support 8 weeks.

Agree this series is too short - a couple of weeks without Ali would be grand.

8 weeks would be a perfect length.

Have 16 housemates on launch, and then the first 5 weeks have normal nominations with one eviction each. Weeks 6 and 7 have double evictions, followed by one more eviction on Monday of week 8 before ending it with a surprise eviction on that Wednesday, and then have the final on that Friday with 5 housemates.

It's not that difficult, ITV.

It seems they love having a schedule to finish in time for IAC ....as to not clash , but they should just axe IAC . And run BB for 8 or 9 weeks  .

I am looking forward to IAC now, big brother is kind of over now for me.

I feel like this series has had peaks and troughs. The trouble with it being aired for just under 6 weeks means you can only do so much. Back in the day when it was 12/13 weeks long they could do things like fake evictions and introducing new HM's etc. I don't necessarily agree with those tactics but it piqued the public's interest and kept the game ever changing. I would also like it to revert to some of the competitive tasks. Make them work for the prize fund rather than they all just sit around waffling on. ITV should be able to come up with a more interesting formula as it's so condensed now.

Get the prize fund dropping and stop letting them feel so complacent.

I still think with 6 weeks they could have 2/3 new ones introduced at week 3. Maybe have a few less to start with then add new ones. I really miss new faces coming in to liven things up and see how people react to the newbies.

Sure if they have Good Viewing Numbers,
they may do that.

I don’t hate her haha. But she defo would have been nominated again and if was 3/4 up and another double I think she along with Sarah would have gone if there were still 3 weeks to go.

The only real downside to the series, although just about everyone gave their bit to the drama in a more even way, there really hasn't been that many plotlines worth following. The Ali witch thing has been dragged to death, no pun intended. That is the most annoying part in following until the end is that some people will fixate now on her when that particular storyline ended a while ago. I think it's because there is not enough going on to follow and the BP+Nathan storyline really isn't that interesting.

…yeah, I enjoy it but it really does feel restricted in its running time and kind of a speed dating pace BB…just not the full version at all..I guess it also ends to lead into/but not conflict with other daily/nightly reality shows like I’m a Celebrity, which begins next Sunday, I think…so the shows are respecting each others time slots allocations…also, both ITV shows, aren’t they….and the problem is with bringing it forward to the summer again…is that’s when they’re focused on Love Island, so…they also have to fit in the celebrity BB as well…but yeah, not long enough….

Yeah I'm sick and tired of red witch , but it doesn't help that Ali herself keeps on banging on about it. You can tell she's boring and needs it to make herself stand out.

BP & Nathan showmance has damaged this series. And BP has sabotaged herself by engaging in it .

For that reason I'm surprised they didn't make more of an effort in the edit to keep hold of Khaled. The tension between him and Nathan seemed natural and building since the blood letting task at least. It may have been something to keep an eye on for the final week. The romance isn't interesting in the slightest (unlike Jordan and Henry last year for many) and there is basically nothing else now bar spikes where Ali and Marcello may temporarily clash, or Sarah puts her foot in it.

I understand it is final but there has to be a reason to watch. For me, personally, I don't know what that is. I'm currently still invested in the series because of what has happened before, rather than what will happen moving forward.

Has it even been confirmed we're getting another BB this time next year?

Nah, i think 6 weeks is all that a modern audience can take.

Don't think a civilian BB has been confirmed for any time next year.

I fear we wont even get one. Can also see the ratings plummeting this week what with it being all so predictable now

I think civilian BB has done well for them this year, considering the lack of exposure on ITV1. Unfortunately, I do think the producers will push the twists and manufactured drama further should it return.

It is tbh, 6 weeks is already a lot longer than most reality shows

I think they still need to work on getting the pacing right though with this length of series

If they stick with 6 weeks then they need to reduce down to 12-14 housemates.

Yes another reason last year's series was superior

Agreed, the fact we still had 11 housemates with only a week to go is pretty mad
