View Full Version : Could Ali Have Won Without Lily

Its not really discussed on the show and late and live, as they prefer to talk more about Ali vs the boys. But I don’t think all that really had any impact on her popularity.
I think what the public really connected with was hers and Lilys bond. And Lily leaving 1 week before the final was perfect timing for Ali to sweep up all the votes.

So do you think if Lily had not been in the house and it been only the 15 other housemates that Ali would have still won?

And if not who would have won?

Probably, yes.

Ali still would have had the Xreddit hivemind on her side because of tee shirts, ND, and being gay and it was those votes that won it for her.

If Ali had gone in there and not said a word for the entire time she still would have won.

Hmmm you’re right there is a star power about her

No I think you are right there is something about Ali that connects with people.

She stood out from all the other housemates on day dot without even having to say a word.

If you lined them all up and asked people at random to pick who they’d think would win just based only on visuals I think over 50% would pick Ali

You are the kind of person that demands people write IMO at the end of every sentence

I am sure zizu will be along soon to tell you to stop passing opinions off as facts because you didn't say IMO at the end of any of that.

Well it is ridiculous that so many people pass off their own thoughts or theories as actual facts

If it’s your opinion just add IMHO

I think Lily fans gave her the final push.

Maybe, but Lily fans gave her a huge boost which dealer the deal basically.

As mentioned, she probably could have sat silently for the full 6 weeks and still picked up more support than Thomas. As she flicks her red hair and wears her strategic t shirts .

Without her and every other unfortunate who attached themselves to her being evicted? No. There was not enough willing competition towards her specifically so she had to farm camera time using perceived slights towards others. But once they were tossed out she basically had the whole show to herself. Marcello and Emma tried to bring some things to light but it was comically late it didn't end up mattering.

I believe the 52% result because it was a lukewarm final 6 with really no other big characters. Ali narrated the edits basically because she was drama thirsty enough, while the rest all pretty much bitched 24/7 in the most cordial/socially acceptable way possible. A lot of it never made air.

The other groups were also too busy disagreeing on whether everyone was too nice or not, that was like 98% of the show content from them...it is amazing to me how the early comments made around fakeness kept most all of them on the drama fence the entire series... but they didn't have to do anything worth losing sleep over so that's great... *cue final L&L nasty clip reveals ruining everyone*

She played the game very well but they were all too nice. They should've kept some of the meanies in instead of picking people the least likely to offend them because it made the friend groups tragically easy to troll. BB manipulation didn't help either because it just kept them all on guard 24/7. They were all entertaining, don't get me wrong, but almost none of them were all that likeable either due to having massive egos or just wimpier behavior in general.

Lily obviously had an impact, but you only had to look at Marcello and Emma on L & L to see how triggered they were that Ali won. The reason for that was because they each thought they had the win in the bag. I didn't really have a favourite come the final, but Ali winning produced one of the best reactions I've seen on BB. None of the good sport vibes were being given
