I’m happy she won but I also thought marcello was 100% correct in what he said to her,
She also came across appallingly and stand off ish in her interview.
Now, I do like her, but who actually does she think she is 🤣

Tbf she might've been nervous in the interview.

Don't forget she isn't a Celebrity who's media trained.

She was literally just answering the questions they gave her honestly, which is more than we can say for any other housemate. I was disappointed with some of her answers, most specifically around Khaled, but if you actually listen to the content of what she said, most of it was fine.

She expressed that she found it difficult living with Marcello but thought he had nice qualities to him and that maybe they could get along in a different context. She specifically shouted out Segun because she’d genuinely enjoyed getting to know him over the last week, and explained that when she said she thought he was acting she meant that she felt he was holding back parts of himself and not always being honest (which is 100% true!). Again, she comes off ‘stand-offish’ because she’s autistic… That’s how we tend to come across. That’s not a reflection of how she actually feels. Whilst, yes, I do think she made some missteps in her answers about Khaled - she does still seem to think she has the authority to make quick judgements, and doesn’t understand how her early behaviour affected him, nor does she understand the influence she did have in the house - ultimately she said that whilst she didn’t regret her earlier feelings, she did regret giving Khaled so much flack and felt now that she should have let what irritated her go, especially when there are so many lovely parts of Khaled she could have focused on instead. That she now feels he’s a really lovely person.

When I first watched the interview I had a bit more of a negative perception of it, but when I watched it back yesterday and really focused on the words she was saying, I realised that actually most of what she said was kind and measured. There were things that annoyed me, sure, but to say she was appalling is unfair.

And I agree with the above comments, she was definitely very nervous.

Sadly most of the things everyone ( including the housemates) disliked / hated about Ali are part of who she is as a neurodivergent individual .. that’s why so much of the toxic nastiness was just so unjust and upsetting.

Nervous doesn’t do it justice .. extreme anxiety is a closer description and she suffered for the duration of the series .

I think she is just socially awkward. I thought she gave some extremely well-balanced answers and was reflective, measured and fair.

It was a balanced interview imho and Ali responded honestly ( as the vast majority would have expected )

Yeah, I think people didn’t realise that because she comes across very composed and calm most of the time, but as a fellow autistic I could tell she was very anxious a lot of the time.

He was completely right about her...I felt she sucked the life out of the house. Po faced most of the time and lacked any sense of humour...she really thought she was better than anyone...

100%. I think what a lot of people don’t understand about neurodivergence and especially autism is that what happens is non-autistic people read the autistic person completely inaccurately (and in a negative light).

So, for example, Ali’s reserve and lack of facial expressiveness gets read as coldness, judgement, rudeness or superiority, when that’s very likely not how she’s feeling at all. Her honestly expressing her perceptions of other people gets read as bitching and meanness, when most of the time she likely means her commentary as simply a neutral observation, and even when she does mean it as a criticism, it’s probably with care as opposed to being an attack. (Sure, sometimes she did have a little bitch but so did everyone).

Those are just two examples but there are so many. I think often when we bring up Ali being ND, people think we’re trying to ‘excuse bad behaviour’ - but the reality is that actually what we’re saying is a lot of Ali’s behaviour isn’t bad, it’s just being totally misread by people who don’t understand how autistic people function and communicate. (And there isn’t one right way to behave/one right neurotype either - as an autistic person it would often feel to me like neurotypical people were behaving badly, if I hadn’t by default had to learn and understand how they function and communicate, as they are the majority). And I absolutely have been willing to criticise certain behaviours of Ali’s, I can see her as a full, flawed human being like they all are.

I will gently point out that's because the original post acknowledges flaws and acceptance that Ali isn't perfect, and every criticism of her needs defending. Like all of us, she has faults and, like every other housemate, they will be magnified and analysed.

Well put. She almost never said anything positive about any of the other housemates (except the obnoxious Lily of course). Even when, on those very rare occasions, she did, it was always qualified with a 'but ....' adding something negative, usually her opinion offered as fact.

Well now she's the winner of BB by doing F all and nobody in her midst will ever forget it heheh.
Therapy session -her to the person needing therapy
"Well as you know, I won big brother and being stuck in there for weeks my knowledge on human behaviour increased and was validated by my win so believe me when I say, you are wrong in your opinion" hehehe.

Its illogical to claim she did nothing given you and a few others spent 6 weeks complaining about what she did , what and how she said something, what she was plotting and even what she was supposedly ‘thinking’ ( that last one tickled me )

Stand offish ?

I’d say possibly guarded and justly so , given it was a live tv interview and she had just spent 6 weeks with a group of people she didn’t feel comfortable ( understatement) with ..

Yep
And somehow he's the 'bad guy' ,for simply stating facts. She always let Lily get away with bad behaviour, she even laughed when Lily broke the rules in the bedroom.

It's interesting though that she thought that little argument " wouldn't get aired", surely she knows BB will show anything they want.

Why would you be guarded in an interview about your behaviour in a house watched by the public for 6 weeks.... Surely you would be just explaining your behaviour.

But then again if you call two genuine people Fake for no reason at all...and call out another for talking about sex but happy to spend your time and enable a 20 year old adult to scream like a banchee and eat the contents of her nose she was probably worried she might be called up for her hypocrisy..

Careful Zizu… you’re in danger of making sense and they can’t handle that. The fact that she’s probably been the most talked about housemate for most of the series with endless lists of threads about every tiny thing she ever said speaks volumes for how much she contributed to the show and despite the obsessive need to make her the villain of everything while no one else can be held accountable for the **** they did now the narrative is that she “did nothing all series”.

Well you haven't really...you have just said she has showed Anxiety throughout the series and may have been anxious during the interview.
The only time she showed anxiety was after she called Khaled Fake and it all back-fired and she asked to leave. Other than that she showed no signs of anxiety...and lets face it no doubt every single one of them felt some sort of nerves during their interview.

I didn't watch the interview but I'm guessing she got off lightly.

I think that people like Marcello and Emma for example will have some basic media training due to the industries that they're trying to break into.
