I’ve always had a problem with a few select actors constantly getting the leading roles making them house hold names same with presenting jobs
Where did all her money go?

Yes because she was sick. At least she's ok now.

She spent it.
I wish she had saved it. Could have had enough to keep her going through the hard times.

Acting is a notoriously unstable profession. The percentage of people who get rich from is is tiny.

I don't think most of the actors on something like EastEnders make more than a semi-decent working salary to be honest. The lifers (Ian Beales, Kat Slaters, Alfie Moons, various Mitchells, etc.) will make a bit more but not the rank-and-file cast like poor Hev.
Like I'm sure she was doing OK while she was on the show - but not so much so that she'd still have a tonne of savings from it years down the line if she didn't get more work.
As of 2024, Cheryl Fergison’s net worth is estimated to be around £1 million.

She turned on the Christmas Lights in my hometown once, when Lindsay Lohan dropped out :joker:

…is that a here and now thing then, Arista…this article reads as though it was a temporary time in her life when she unexpectedly and sadly found herself with no employment and it wasn’t something that she had financially or emotionally prepared for…
She told the Sunday Mirror, external her battles with money started after she was diagnosed with womb cancer in 2015, which meant she had to walk away from her acting career.
She subsequently had to have a hysterectomy and then went through an early menopause that triggered mental health issues and self-harming.

No need for the large part. I don’t recall you saying this about male actors. Cruel
