I'll put it into a bit more less sensationalist perspective.

Personally I think she should have stood down after her P & O statement a few weeks ago.
This was way back in 2014, and yes it's a crime.
She pleaded guilty eventually, the only judgement was I understand a conditional DISCHARGE.
That's a well and truly spent conviction.

She wasn't an MP at the time.
Her first election candidacy was in the 2015 election when she won the seat.

I'd say, if it was known about this conviction, then she shouldn't have accepted or been given a Cabinet post
All Parties are going to have to realise and particularly now in government my Party.
That the media are going to dig and dig to find anything of wrongdoing or even just suspicion of any, to use to destroy careers but to hopefully harass government too.
As was the case with the last government too from the other biased side of the media.

What happened 10 years ago like this would in the past not even been a story.
That's not so now.
Anything said or done as a teen, or before becoming a politician, will be something that is used to beat you, harass you and destroy you by the media.

However after saying all that I'm pleased she's resigned and done so quickly.
As with the last government however, the media on the other side now, will dig until they find anything like unforgivable worthy scandal on others lives.
So my warning to the government and all other Parties is watch out.
Because your whole life and careers can be ended in an instant by spite from vindictive people plus the media too, particularly the truly sick and gross press we now have
